antneed
I want to incorporate a mock occupancy driver for when we leave the house such as vacation etc, and I read about the Control4 “ occupancy simulation driver“. My questions are: 1. is this a free driver that the dealer simply installs? 2. are there any other similar drivers out there which are free? 3. once installed, can I have a custom button addded to my touchscreen/app to activate it? 4. or how does one activate it? 5. Can I set the parameters of the driver through Composer HE? Thank you in advance.

Just setup a variable in Composer for home/away and then some automation that runs only if Away = True.

It has the ability to randomize lighting loads, shades, etc to simulate a person being home when they are not.

And the patterns mimic your actual in-home usage, as well as any changes over time in how you operate lights, shades, AV equipment, and so on.
