Reednatron
As the title says, I’m curious about using a Core 3 for a preamp feeding a “dumb” amplifier for zone audio. What are the issues of doing zone audio this way, other than having limited matrix type control for different sources/zones? Planning on adding 2 outdoor zones with the Core 3 feeding a 4 channel amp via the analog outs. Will this function correctly? lippavisual
Should be no problem at least that I know of. The controller will do volume. Reednatron
Matt Lowe
not a problem at all the core controllers have everything you would need. Keep in mind the EQ in the C4 navigators will not be avalaible in this configuration. You can still EQ from within composer. You can also use 12v trigger for the amp for power control as well. Just need to bind everything correctly and it will work as expected. Reednatron
Reednatron
Thanks guys, that's awesome news. Will using the analog preouts from the Core have significant less/more delay than the Triad one that's also in my system? Will there be a noticable difference in audio with all zones playing same material?

As such it'll depend on what you're feeding: in the scenario you're describing there isn't likely to be any at all Reednatron
