C4CA
Currently have a system with below equipment, system works fine except in 2 zones that have a Kef dual stereo speaker. When playing a video source you can’t hear the voices, it works fine when playing audio sources (pandora, Spotify) other sources in project sound fine when playing a standard stereo zone. Any ideas? Triad 24x24 audio matrix Avproedge axion matrix all video sources have downmixing Triad amp ironically if I disconnect one of rcas from matrix to amp it works fine on the video sources. Andrew luecke
You need to downmix from Surround to Stereo. The Voice normally comes through a centre channel, which you don't have (which is why it sounds dim). Matt Lowe
Matt Lowe
sounds like something is not configured correctly either. the matrix is not down mixing the audio to the triad you would just get a bunch of buzzing. May need to check whats its settings are setup.
C4CA
The video matrix is set to downmix, if that were the case wouldn’t all stereo zones sound off not just the ones with dual stereo?

The point I think is that somethings' not right in the down mixing OR in an EQ setting on the matrix. The latter isn't nearly as likely though, but easily checked and bypassed...by not having the matrix DO any EQ and see if it fixes it (should be able to change that in HE). To me from info given, I'd say the AVPro is somehow doing an auto setting, and detects that a zone is going mono, so downmixes everything to a single channel, but perhaps is seeing a 3 or 3.1 channel setup otherwise?
