No WiFi after power outage

tiffmccaslin

Question

ETA: issue has been resolved. Appreciate the responses.

C4 customer here with unresponsive dealer - no WiFi since power outage yesterday afternoon (which lasted ~1 hour). Have confirmed there is no outage from WiFi provider (Verizon) and that surrounding neighbors all have WiFi. Already unplugged C4 main plug for 5 minutes and re-plugged in - no status change. Can anyone help? I am WFH and need WiFi… also need a new dealer reco. Thx!

c4 doesnt have anything to do with your wifi.  You are using Verizon home internet, as your provider?  Did you reset the modem / router?

It does when your C4 dealer replaced original router with custom equipment as part of original install… yes, have reset all. No status change.

1) C4 has nothing to do with the internet service - again the dealer may have set up both, but they are separate so unplugging your C4 controller wont do anything

2) do you know what router/switch/access points were set up by your dealer?

3) there is a subsection here to find a new dealer, or you can post your general location and maybe someone will have a recommendation

What "custom equipment"? There is no control 4 modem.  So they may have replaced the stock ISP modem/router combo with something else, but that is not a control 4 issue.  it is a networking issue.  Do you have access to the GUI for your router?

Post a list of the equipment you have and exactly what the fault is.  As matt asked above, do you have wifi being broadcasted, but no internet?  No wifi being broadcasted?  can you connect to the internet by directly plugging a laptop into the modem?
