Sure would be nice if Sharebridge was updated to work with AirPlay 2. Just saying

tried that already, but the custom buttons don't show on the Neeo Remote , otherwise yes. it would be perfect.
That sucks, hopefully they plan on adding them.

Guessing the Custom Buttons agent would do what you want.

I think there are a few here, myself included, that have Ubiquiti setups without issues. What doesn't work?
I believe with Packedge you won't have any remote management capability without being a dealer. Could be wrong.

Or continue to use the Sonos controlled via C4. Not sure what you really gain on the audio side if you already have Sonos set up for each room.

I second AudioControl - the M9 Preamp with their theater amps.
Same as Lexicon and Arcam AFAIK. All Harmon.

Jerry Harvey Layla, customed to her liking.

AFAIK C4 has no way to route music to a Echo. You could use the Echo to play music via Alexa/Alexa app and have it play through the matrix.

I went years without talking to Comcast, and the service is reliable. When you do talk to them, it’s painful though.
The 1GB up/down fiber option is intriguing but the reality is that I not only have no need but no USE for that. What would I do at home that would take advantage of that?
I have had to deal with them way to much recently, such a pain.
If you are not doing anything the requires the transfer of large amounts of data in timely matter you would want fast service. I have a site-to-site VPN between home and work where I have Hyper-v servers running replication for failover. The faster the better. Doubt many people are doing this.

Fixed my post
I would be all over the 1GB fiber option, can't imagine any company being more of a pain than Comcast.

Yeah, the problem didn’t change after he did that. We’re knocking on the door of 20 hours and still going strong. I’m cautiously optimistic that the new modem has solved the problem. That said, the old setup made it this long a few times too.
If it does turn out to be the modem that’s a CRAZY coincidence. Just happened to go bad in the 4 hour window that it took to unhook it, move it over and hook it back up. In fact, it was probably more like a 1.5 hour window.
You should be able to log into your modem and check power levels and corrected/uncorrected codewords to give you and idea if there is a signal issue.
I hate Comcast tech support (and customer support). Switching over to synchronous fiber at my business just to get away from them. Still have them at my house because there are no 1gig fiber options. Hopefully soon.

anyone can offer any ideas on how to create an icon on the touchscreen to play a specific youtube video on the TV?
We have the youtube roku mini driver but it only launches youtube to the generic page.
Thank youUse a screen capture app and make it a video?

I'm all about DIY but if you are not sure what to do with the white and black wires you might want to get some pro help. Way to necro-bump.

What would give you Alexa and transport control? Sonos Port?
-
I do see it works with a Bluetooth remote. I’m sure there is some overly complex solution to make it work.

Is there any way to control an Echo Dot other than using voice commands? Would be nice to control via remote/keypad once music is playing.

How is the new Shield Pro? Any chance have your tried to 4K HDR to HD with tone mapping?

Not really, the security desk system would have to be integrated into the Control4 system. The best way to do that is the MDU setup which requires the entire building to have Control4 so the security desk can call all the condos.
Couldn't it be done with SIP via a FXO/FXS?
-
Never done it, but I think you would want to use a normal switch and a 120v relay to do the switching or a keypad that controls a zigbee remote relay. Could even run it back to the controller if it has any free relays. Electrician should have a good idea on how he would prefer to wire it.

I'm with Eggslot on the BlueIris route if it isn't to much of a pain to run Cat6. Gives you the ability to run just about any IP camera out there. Can get decent cameras for cheap on places like Amazon.

The Z-Wave driver is fully functional and reports the state of the lock fine.
The dongle is pricey, the range is crap and the performance isn't there. If you had the same lock in C4 Zigbee or the same long in Z-wave with the Dongle the C4 Zigbee one will work much much better.
I hate when people try to back door the door locks to try and save $50/lock. Just buy a proper zigbee one from your dealer and be done with it. Only use Z-wave if you inherited locks from an old alarm system and they are already in place. Buying them yourself on ebay or where ever is just not worth the hassle for the little to no money you will save at the end of the day.
Already had the locks.
Did not report lock state fine. It reported the first time it connected after a power cycle but that was it.
Swapped in a C4 module and it all works now.

Any way to control C4 scenes or audio devices? I'm guessing dummy lights could be added and linked to a scene.
