dppeak reacted to Derek in Home Connect - HomeKit C4 Driver
I developed the Home Connect driver to cover nearly all device proxies exposed by Control4 and to simplify setup and reliability. The Homebridge/HOOBS configuration is fully automated, plugin install as well, and you only need one driver instance in Control4 to configure everything. I offer a 30d trial through DriverCentral if you want to give it a try. You can email driver-support@finitelabs.com if you have any questions or feature requests.

That will be cool, I had a lot of stuff with the driver as well and some involved some programing in Home App itself, one of the greatest uses cases ever is Geofencing, I do a lot with this alone 🥹

Take a look @ the supported devices above, what are u missing from it? I have varietas as well, but the Jason; while is easy; still a code to write and maintain and supports less number of devices. I also use to have issues wth Blinds, not sure its fixed now or not.

Any idea how does this compare to the Varietas Driver?
I've been running Varietas since 2018 and not sure i've seen anything else that provides much more or worth looking at a change.

Could you use a dummy light switch (for instance named Apple Music Light) to trigger programming in Control4 to turn on a Control 4 listen device?
siri - “turn on Apple Music light”
C4 programming: when light level changes: if load is on - select audio device - Apple TV; if load is off - turn the room off

Yes All Your Watch Devices will Appear in TV Accessory.
Listen or i can say speakers are not currently supported in Home app as Homekit only supports Airplay 2 Speakers.

This is indeed possible.
They're are dummy switches that can easily be added, and then you can even set the Logic within Homekit automations ( or use Composer to do the programming.
Can't recommend this driver enough.
I barely open the C4 app anymore.
It's a great driver and the support is top notch.

dppeak reacted to ajmccaus in Philips hue light module release
Yes there are different ways to do this:
using advanced lighting scenes and binding or programming the button press to trigger the scene using the preset % in the light driver settings screen programming a ramp to % for the button click event using the UnilogiQ driver, create a scene in the hue app with a preset brightness and program that to trigger on the button press event There's probably even more ways to skin that cat but there's 4. The best way I've found is to program the UnilogiQ driver on the button press event. That gives the smoothest result. Just be sure to add a command to update the levels of the C4 hue light driver right after that or the hue light won't show the proper level in C4. The ramp to % over x milliseconds works pretty well too. Good Hue performance seems to require custom programming for keypad events in my experience. If you just bind the switch to the light driver it doesn't work very well. Let me know if you want to go into more detail on your use case.
