Cat5e supports even 10gb to to 45m apparently. 2.5gbps will work over 100m of carte easily too apparently
I checked the 900 receiver and the max bandwidth it uses is only 850mbps and uses standard Ethernet, so you shouldn't have a problem. Even if you're using 4k as you're bound by the max bandwidth of the receiver
Wow I had no idea thank you for this. So I should be able to get max quality out of my roku ulra or Apple TV if I put them into the moip system. Thank you again!

Just an fyi I have cat5e and binary moip system working fine.
I also have cat5e and MOIP with no issues. Some of my runs are over 100 ft. I do not have any 4K sources at the moment tho so I’m not sure if that will cause problems. Do you have any 4K sources? How long are your runs?

I believe in composer there can also be an update for the zigbee module. Even if there is and you missed that I doubt it’s your problem but it’s worth the shot. There is also a button in composer to sync the latest settings but I’m sure you’ve tried that already. I’m have a Yale lock with zigbee integration myself but I only have one code. Im going to add a second code and let you know if I have any issues.

You know, I wonder if it's possible for MusicCast enabled models......
Ha those dots have gotten my attention. Have you tried this before?

Is there any way to integrate a Yamaha disklavier piano into a Control4 system? It would be nice to have IP control of the piano.
-
The lock might need an update. It can be updated in composer by a dealer.

This is what I have been using. It’s a great solution. https://decotvframes.com/products/smart-room-sensor-srs

Price drop. PM if interested.

I have a similar setup where I was considering using a NYCE sensor for the same reasons. Please let me know if it works out for you.

I have a few of these available if you are interested.

Just a thought. I always try to stay away from cloud integration but sometimes you don’t have much a choice. I really hope the industry doesn’t forget about LAN control with every new IOT device having its own app today. Thoughts?

I started making custom icons in Experience buttons. It's kind of addicting!!! I have made about 40 and really happy we are able to customize projects. I want to alter the multi Experience button. Can't remember the exact name. The one with twelve different colors to choose from.
I would like to change the colors to names. For example, change them to Sat radio stations. or different security levels on a security system. So when your setting up the driver I can read the new name. I know i can leave the color name and just change the icon but that could get confusing. Especially for the next guy
If I want tot change the color white to display something different can i just change all the "white" in the driver.xml file to the different name? Or do i have to change things in the driver.lua as well?
Any help would be appreciated
TIA
I would love to learn how to do this. Are there any tutorials that you recommend?

@Rob21 So you will launch the app and all your favorites show up except for lighting scenes, but then if you force close and relaunch they'll show up? The next time this happens can you grab mobile app logs and PM them to me, so I can write a bug up for the iOS team to look into?
I have the app logs with this issue. I sent you a PM. Thank you!

Absolutely! That's why we're so excited and proud to be able to develop and bring this driver to integrators/dealers and the C4forums community!
Stay posted! Please try to provide options for serial and/or LAN control rather than relying on the cloud. Not sure if this is your choice but I figured I would ask. Thanks again!

Tried for about 2 years to get DriversLab/Homeation Carrier Infinity driver to work - but it never did and then gave up. Don't know if it's all faulty coding, or lack of proper setup, but never worked.
How was the driver supposed to communicate? Serial?

Will be very happy to purchase if it works better than the current driver!
Just out of curiosity, do you have any experience with the current driver? If you do can you please explain how it works and how it performs.

I am looking for an HDMI cord that is at least 160 ft long. I typically use Clearline but they on only make cables up to 130 ft long. My goal is to be futureproof so 8K would be preferred. I would like to avoid baluns. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

We (Epic Systems) will be starting our development on a driver for the Carrier Infinity system soon (likely in the next week or so). We already have a signed developer/integrator contract with Carrier and will working with C4 to ensure proper end-user auth this week.
Can’t wait.

Does anyone know if the August module can be swapped out on an Emtek Empower lock for a Control4 one?
It looks to me like the Emtek Empower is just a rebranded yale assure lock that uses the same modules. The Control4 one COULD work, but I am not sure if it would require a new driver. I would make a new post about this if there isn’t one already.
-
I would suggest getting in touch with the driver developer support team. They were very helpful when I last reached out to them.
-
I swapped the august module out of my yale assure lock and put the C4 zigbee one in it. Best option for a solid integration.

nyce for motion sensors keep in mind they are not made for outdoor environments. You can wired ones and any will be compatible with dry contacts. Cameras are just unreliable.
I am a big fan of nyce sensors but I couldn’t see them working for a large outdoor area such as a back yard. Am I missing something?

Just out of curiosity is there any way of testing video output to see if I’m loosing quality?
