Any input on the omnilogic driver? Is it cloud based?

what are the issues you are having with qs, i have done plenty of QS and QSX and have not had any issues, it could be your original programmer is not well versed integrating the systems together
To tell you the truth I would not be surprised if that were the case. I have two main issues. (1) My shades do not operate properly with the original Lutron qs shades driver. The shades operate fine if I control them through Lutron but when I attempt to control them in C4 it can be very finicky. Sometimes it takes multiple inputs for the shades to start moving, if the shade is closed and I drag the slider to 100% open it often stops at 99% instead of 100%, etc. (2) My fans do not track properly in C4. For example if I drag the fan slider to a medium speed it will set the fan to that speed but when I leave the page with the fan speed on whatever device I’m using and go back to it the fan slider reads that it is off. In order to actually turn the fan off I need to move the slider to one of the on positions and then move it back to off without leaving that page. I hope that all makes sense. I appreciate all input/help.

My C4 system currently uses Lutron QS for lighting, fans, and shades. The lighting is pretty much rock solid but unfortunately the fan and shade integration is terrible. The fans and shades are controlled with QS wireless. I believe that the homeworks QS shade integration is known to be problematic but I am wondering if anyone has any input on integration with homeworks QSX. If homeworks QSX offers solid integration for shades and fans then I would definitely consider upgrading. Any input is appreciated!

I’m still struggling with this myself. Can someone sum up this programming logic please.

Same. I think the EAs are great, but the CA10 really does have more oomph to drive navigators. I've got like 15 T3s, and before the CA10, it took 30 seconds to a minute for a refresh navigators, now it's 5-10 seconds.

Interesting I haven't really thought about the controller possibly being my problem. I attached two video of one of my T3's being slow (sorry about the fingerprints). Do you think a CA10 would fix this? What could explain my T3s becoming fast temporally after power cycling them?

Thanks again to everyone helping

Reviving this thread because I have learned a few things since I last posted. The T3's in my house are still slow.
My entire system is on 3.2.4. I have:
1 Ea5
4 Ea1s
1 Ca1
7 T3's (all wired)
and today I just had 1 T4 installed (wired)
I believe that all of the touch screens are connected directly to the first switch from the router. My router is an Araknis AN-310-RT-4L2W and the first switch from the router is an Araknis AN-310-SW-24-POE. I have no obvious issues with my network.
Each T3's IP address is reserved. Power cycling the T3s make them fast again but over time (about a day or two) they slow down again.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone. If its not under warrantee I’ll consider taking it apart on my own and trying to fix it.

A couple of us have been working with Carrier and their dev team to begin development on a driver for Carrier Infinity since about July/Aug. Carrier presently has no internal owner of their Dev platform/API so responses can take a few weeks at a time. The application process to access this SDK is quite thorough and not trivial.
We are in the final stages of applying and waiting to hear the status of our application to begin development for about a month now.
This is seriously the best news I’ve heard on the forum. Please keep us in the loop. Thank you!

I have two Carrier Infinity systems with 8 zones. Each system has both gas heat and variable speed heat pumps. If you do not have zones OR variable speed heat pumps, you might be able to get away with the non-infinity thermostat but you will still give up much more than variable speed control. You can find more on this elsewhere in this tread.
Regarding the app, I use it all the time and find it works great. If its not working for you, you might look at your home network for the cause.
I do not have the SAM, but I am thinking about adding it just to test the integration as I would really like to change schedules and temperature profiles via C4. If i do, I will let this forum know how it goes.
@samsmoothjazz please do post the carrier developer’s email here. If its a good email, I will share it with the driver developers on this forum and maybe we can get one of them to reach out to Carrier and collaborate on writing a new C4 driver that works off of the cloud API vs the SAM.
Please let us know how the integration or contacting Carrier goes. Thank you!

Can anyone comment of the best current integration between infinity and C4? I’ve asked for this is the past and I know that there are very few people with the integration in the first place but I do believe that the integration with the SAM module works to some extent. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've nearly comes to terms with losing variable speed. I'm not convinced I'm actually saving anything with the infinity system, and frankly, regret spending the extra money for infinity. I think i'd really just rather have all of tstats controlled from C4 (i have 2 systems on C4 tstats and 2 on carrier infinity so depending on where i'm looking to change temp I need to go to the right app). system alerts I suppose is important - I'm curious if I disconnect the infinity tstat if I'd still be notified of alerts on the mobile app, or likely not since the tstat is the brains of the system that also connects to to the network?
Agreed with the variable speed and the regret of purchasing the system. I’m pretty sure we would lose system alerts since the T-stats are what is actually connected to the network.

nope. everyday i say to myself i'm removing my carrier infinity tstats from the wall and putting the old c4 ones back on...
Same here but even if we can rig that up correctly we lose carrier infinity features such as the variable speed fan and the system alerts. The worst part is how carrier offers eco bee thermostats for their regular line (not the infinity series) and eco bee integrates well with Control4. It’s really unfortunate that we don’t have any sort of solution.

This Araknis AN-310-SW-R-16-PoE has been making a loud noise and vibration for months now. I am assuming that this is simply the fan acting up but something definitely seems wrong. The temperature in the room is fine. I have power cycled the switch multiple times but the problem persists. Could something like this cause network issues? I have been trying to track down a problem regarding the T3’s on this network slowing down over time (very strange problem). I have attached a video of the switch below. All help is greatly appreciated!

I have run into the same issue as @Charlie Mackenzie but with an anthem receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I updated to 3.2.3. My alignment issue was also corrected.

Yes that is correct. The Neeo, Touch Screens (T3/T4), and the TV Interface all receive automatic updates from OS 3.1.3+ mostly with bug fixes since most features have dependencies that require a full OS update.
However, the Touch Screens did just get updated with a new feature, Night Mode for Touch Screens allows you to set a time period for the screen to turn off each night so you can use a screen saver of your preference and have things go dark at night.
Wow this is great. Thank you!

I have the same issue. I noticed it a week or two ago. It’s obviously a minor issue but very annoying to have to look at.

I finally had enough of the august integration a while ago and switched to zigbee. Haven’t had an issue since.
-
The only thing keeping me from switching to the zigbee module is Auto Unlock. I’ve been trying to find an alternative that would work with the zigbee module but I haven’t found anything. Open to any ideas!

My august lock integration is "broken" again. The lock status does not change in control4 so C4 thinks that it its always locked. When I try to unlock it from C4 the lock does unlock but C4 still shows that it is locked (because of this C4 only sends the unlock command and I can't send the lock command). This has happened to me in the past and it usually fixes itself after a couple of days but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this.

I know this doesn’t really help but I just wanted to add that I’ve had the same problem just with Pandora in the past. I’ve also looked through all of the forums when I was having the problem and I was in the same spot as you. I haven’t had the problem in a few months now and my guess is a software update fixed it.

Thank you that’s great to hear. I don’t have any Hayward equipment yet but can you explain what you mean by “pool chemistry”? Also, what is a SWCG?
