nyce for motion sensors keep in mind they are not made for outdoor environments. You can wired ones and any will be compatible with dry contacts. Cameras are just unreliable.

I am a big fan of nyce sensors but I couldn’t see them working for a large outdoor area such as a back yard. Am I missing something?

motion sensor in the front yard for feral and bad neighbors relieving their animals in my front lawn. The sprinklers always seem to come on at the worst of times.

Whistle on the yard speakers if the dogs are barking too much will spook them and shut them up promptly.

This doesn't count, since I have not done it yet. But this is the plan. I'm adding a "zone" to my sprinkler system that is sprays out like a fountain around the perimeter of the boat house. I plan to put a Z2io in the boat house connected to the sprinkler valve. When it is hot out, motion sensed on a motion sensor, I'll turn on the valve via the relay on the Z2io. I also plan to use a custom button on the app labeled "Prank Fishermen" so I can spray my buds fishing around the boat house.

Im looking to program something similar to this so that I can turn on the sprinklers when birds are on my property. Any recommendations for motion sensors? Cameras that can differentiate between birds and humans (half joking)?

@Rob21 So you will launch the app and all your favorites show up except for lighting scenes, but then if you force close and relaunch they'll show up?   The next time this happens can you grab mobile app logs and PM them to me, so I can write a bug up for the iOS team to look into?

Yes this is exactly what happens. I will do some tests and send the log next time it happens. Thanks!

Not specifically although that does sound interesting. I'm specifically referring to creating a button on the screen as an overlay to the stream.

I'm not sure myself, but there are definitely more qualified people than me that should be able to answer this for you. I'll ask @msgreenf to chime in (he's one of the best).

If you are talking about being able to do something like view a camera stream from a touchscreen and touch an area of the screen (such as a lamp that can be seen in the stream) to turn the lamp on and off, then yes I believe that there is a driver out there for that. Is that what you are talking about?

https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/security-systems/camera-agent/ This is the driver I was referring to here.

  7. Can you clarify what you’re looking to do? If you are looking to view your cameras in control4 that is definitely possible. If you are looking to distribute the video feed from a device such as an NVR to one or more TVs throughout the house integrate it as a source in control4 that is also possible. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding your question.

  8. Thank you guys but is there any way to tie a menu to an experience button. For example when I click a custom button it brings up a drop down menu with whatever options are under that custom button. I was hoping to be able to have a similar experience but without the dull custom button icon. Thanks

A couple of us have been working with Carrier and their dev team to begin development on a driver for Carrier Infinity since about July/Aug. Carrier presently has no internal owner of their Dev platform/API so responses can take a few weeks at a time. The application process to access this SDK is quite thorough and not trivial.

We are in the final stages of applying and waiting to hear the status of our application to begin development for about a month now.

Any update on the driver? I really hope it works out for you (and all of us infinity owners).
