  1. Thanks for the replies - I can see how the variable can do the trick!
  2. Sorry if this has been addressed before but I didn't see anything and the HE manual is not very thorough on this topic. I'm trying to create a "do this action" when a keypad button is pressed that works differently between sunset and midnight and midnight a sunrise while doing nothing during daylight. My confusion is on the option to use "Within X minutes before/after sunset". does this mean it's only true for the those X minutes? Basically I'm trying to get After Sunset AND Before 12:00 AM. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
  3. Ah ha! I finally found the lights under the Auxiliary Buttons in device actions. Thanks for confirming it was there.
  4. Glad to see an Enphase driver has been released and hope to get to try this out soon. My thoughts would be to use this as a virtual critical load panel and shut down / reduce energy based on the Enphase system metrics. That said the single most important bit of information is whether the grid is up or down. I also have batteries so knowing both solar and battery status would be key in making automated decisions on when and how much to scale back.
  5. Thanks - I do get the the Color Logic Lights showing under extras in the C4 iOS app and agree the Hayward app is better here, however, I wanted to set a couple of pool lighting scenes through automation to turn on/off with other outdoor landscape lighting via a scheduled program events set up using Composer HE. Did you see a way to make the ColorLogic lights part of a When/Then program? That way I can put them on the same schedule or timer as other lights using Sunset schedules or part of other scenes like Movie Time where I can keep the pool lighted but dim the pool down to 20% so it doesn't overpower the lighting in the TV room
  6. Anyone have experience getting the Hayward Pool Lights to be used in programming? My dealer just provisioned the C4 system and added the native Hayward OmniLogic driver which provides control of the Pool pump and heaters. A subset of the lighting scenes show up in the C4 iOS app but I don't see anyway in Composer HE to select pool lighting scenes. Seems like a big miss if you can't do this as the pool lights are an integral part to any broader lighting scene.
  7. Triathlon are controlled via Lutron's wireless Clear Connect protocol at 430MHz which provides the synchronized control and very low power consumption if you're going battery powered. You do need their hub and a C4 driver. I'm about to put in a bunch of these with a RA3 system.
  8. I was pursuing the drivers and say this Apple Music (Universal) driver in the C4 driver listings. I'm not sure if its new or just modified on May 12th of this year and I'm curious if it has any functionality for those of us who have the Apple Music subscription as our primary music streaming service. Is this new and/or helpful for Apple Music subscribers?
  9. Anyone have the documentation for the C4 - Hayward Omnilogic driver. Just about to get a home delivered with both and I'd really like to understand what functions on pool control and the color logic lighting will be available in C4 programming.
  10. I'm getting pretty close to having my C4 system installed now. I'm very much an Apple ecosystem person and am interested in your perspective on the Finite Labs vs DTI HomeKit/Siri integration through Homebridge. In particular I'm looking to expose Lutron RA3 keypad to the Apple Home app and also utilize RA3 virtual keypad to trigger Lutron scenes from Apple Home. Also Hayward PL automation lighting control and DSC alarm contracts. Wondering which if either will be easier for my dealer to install and manage. I plan to do all programing routines myself with Composer HE. Thoughts?
  11. I'm looking to do something similar. I understand the way to use the phantom keypad but just to be clear can you verify that C4 can see a simple single tap depression of the new Lutron Ra3 keypads and then do multiple actions including sending back a Lutron scene? For example a Relax Lutron scene button would be seen as a trigger in C4 which then depending on time of day could control the Hayward pool light driver and send a virtual keypad button command to Lutron to trigger an appropriate Lutron scene? I don't have the C4 system and Composer HE yet and sure would like to make sure this is going to work in advance of buying a bunch of RA3 keypads and dimmers.
  12. Looking to see if there is any new developments beyond the 2019 threads in the C4 forums on solutions to control and manage the top of the line Trane variable speed heat pumps and communicating "proprietary" thermostats. Models XL 20i Heat Pump and XL 1050 "Comfort Link" Thermostats. My HVAC contractor is asking I give those consideration but I don't like going to proprietary solutions where I don't see a solid C4 or other automation solution. I think I'm best going with the new Ecobee Premium and a slightly less efficient Trane system. Anyone have experience making the Trane communicating systems work with Control 4 recently?

    Home Connect

I'm not seeing any native or Driver Central drivers for Home Connect appliances. Top use case for me is being able to control the light in the Thermador fan over the cooktop. Looks like they work with Creston and URC along with some home voice assistants. Any solutions to integrate with Control 4? - Thanks
  14. Thanks - The app seems to try to maximize solar consumptions and savings. I've got some time yet on my construction and hope the folks from Enhpase / Clipper Creek have this in their product plan for 2023!
  15. I've had my C4 dealer (not a Lutron dealer) tell me I need to use c4 keypads and switches to work properly. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'm building a new house and have some time to learn the issues here but would really prefer to to RA3 and Sunnata but also want the keypad's to recognized by C4 for further actions outside the Lutron ecosystem. My question here is did your dealer use the newest Lutron LEAP driver released this September? I'd be interested in knowing how that version performs.
  16. Hi I just joined the forum and am building a house with Enphase and Control4. Its whole home backup so if the grid is down and solar production is limited I'd want to trigger a house scene to turn things down and similarly set a variable to be used as a conditional to limit usage going forward. Pool heater/pump, lights, HVAC set points etc. I view this a a poor mans load control to make sure the battery (20KWHr for me) can last till the next day's sun and get charged again while keeping AC and refrigeration going for at least 24 hours. So yes this is something I'd really like to see. With respect to the car, my understanding is the car determines the charging demand from the charging station so I'm not sure there is a way to let the car know it shouldn't drain the house batteries. I don't expect this to happen often and will just need to watch the alerts and make sure I pause the charging manually whenever there is a prolonged grid outage.
