Troubleshooting IR Control Issues

I am having issues with IR controls from both of my HC800s. The HC250 doesn't have any issues, but I can't control anything via IR from HC800. How do I troubleshoot if the HC800 is sending commands? Is there a mechanism to see what commands the HC800 is sending out? 

I need to configure IR for these shit-aki Spectrum 110-a Cable Box.

Does the hc250 control the spectrum box (in other words is IR emitter placed correctly on.box)? If so then u can see the ir emitter flash (depending on.type) when say channel change or something is sent from hc800. If it is not visible to naked eye try looking with cell phone camera which will pick up the IR flash to see if signal being sent. If the Ir flashes, then it is either placed wrong on box or incorrect driver or bindings not correct.

I will try that. The Driver I am testing is the Humax Driver from the Driver Store. However, I have the issues with all IR devices connected to the Controller. 

I rebooted the Controller from System Manager also. I will test the IOServer process to see if that fix the issue.

Resurfacing an old thread but curious if there was a resolution on this.  I seem to be seeing the same problem.  All IR controlled devices that are connected to the IR out on my HC800 are no longer getting IR commands.  If I move the IR blaster from the HC800 to the IO Extender then they work so it's not cable or placement.  I've tried a reboot and disable/enable of ioserver in System Manager but no luck.  Thanks for any insights here.

Could be hardware age.
I would backup, image update it to 2.10.6 or latest 3.x Reload and hope.
