Gary Leeds UK
after doing programming to rooms. I have a wee issue - when kitchen switches off it also switches off the living room. Only when Sonos is playing - Any ideas ?
LSDave
Is it a connect running through a matrix? and is there more than one connect going into the matrix?
Cyknight
Or is it into a controller, if an 800 are you using both audio outs.
mstafford388
do you possibly have a media scene active? how are you getting audio to these 2 rooms? amp/matrix?
Cyknight
And - you said you did programming - is the turning off happening from programming, or via 'normal' room control.
Gary Leeds UK
Lights turn off when not active via a sensor - says turn off kitchen - kitchen off just relates to lights. no matrix, no media scene I have HC250 in the living room with audio out to sonos connect. Kitchen as a sonos play 3 Thanks for the quick response
Cyknight
So is this both fed by Sonos (the services I mean - vs controller Rhapsody and TuneIn)
Gary Leeds UK
yes we use Sonos and not C4 Tunein or Rhapsody
mstafford388
What version of the sonos driver are you on. if you are on something prior to v8.0 and you are using sonos speakers as the endpoints i'm pretty sure you need to use the groupable sonos driver. has this ever worked properly? Gary Leeds UK
we are on V8 and yes i worked fine before the upgrade to V8.
cdepaola
Stupid question but I like to clarify everything. When you say the rooms shut off are you referring to the audio, lights, or both? What programing did you do? If you remove that programming does the problem persist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gary Leeds UK
When lights turn off - everything is OK - no effect on Living Room Sensor turns the lights on and off (Via programming). When I turn the sonos off via the ipad or via programming - if we have the tv on the living room it turns the living room off Taken sonos out of the programming and just turn off via ipad and it still turns off the living room. Hope that helps
cdepaola
Sounds like the audio/video end points, or another connection, are the same. Purely a guess but the sonos driver itself shouldn't be doing this for any reason and if you've removed the programming and it still happens to me this is something to look at.
