For AVS Forum members, he has been providing great Lutron pricing to us for many years. His user name on AVS Forum is spiwrx.  He is a fully authorized Lutron dealer for Radio RA2, shades, and Caseta.

What is the price difference between Somfy Roller shade controls and Lutron Roller shade controls?  I currently have somfy but just added Lutron Caseta to devices to my home.

Somfy's cheaper line, Bali, is sold at big box stores as is the Serena Lutron roller.  You can price them on HomeDepot.com

AVoutlet has a lot of Somfy RTS motors for sale here: https://www.avoutlet.com/window-treatments/shade-components/motorized/motors/?features_hash=61-3561

Thanks for the heads up on the Bali line. Looks like a 36" square window is ~$450 at HomeDepot, so a small savings but doesn't really seem any different than Serena pricing.

I've put shades on the back burner for now as I tackle a couple of other things. Curious - are you suggesting that you could use Somfy RTS Motors with a variety of different (previously unmotorized) shades?

I use Somfy motors RTS with shades that can used to be operated by a chain. The tube fits either a chain mechanism or the Somfy motor. I don't know how Lutron shades work.

im no expert but the somfy motor fits in the tube as mentioned above.  before I had the wiring done I was able to put a chain on the end of the tube and use the blinds manually.  The wiring got done, popped off the chain, inserted the tube and off I went.  so yeah I guess you could retrofit based on the current diameter of your tube.  AVOutlet.com was super helpful answering a TON of questions.
