Hello

non related to C4

I have a long HDMI cable that was ran in the wall that got damaged on one end

any recommendations on an HDMI repair kit

with instructions ?

dont waste money on repair kits most of them just dont work or last.

replace the cable, or use the old one to pull cat6 cable and install a balun. or if you already have cat cable use that for a balun.

Thank goodness I haven't had to resort to this on any of my projects but I've heard that you can cut off the ends of an HDMI cable and use it as a CAT5 for HDMI extenders if running a new cable isn't an option.

Curious if any one has had to resort to that and what the outcome was.

Most HDMI 'repairs' will require an HDMI clock adjuster  - just cut the end both sides and use it to pull a cat if at all possible - if not, then get a terminal block style unit, and be ready to get a clock adjuster.

Still won't be certain though...
