UV to shut down...

Recommended Posts

Like I said years back these Hollywood clowns couldn't organise their own (DRM) "protection" even at their very own piss up in a brewery -

yet they continue to think their form of DRM is consumer friendly and will save their digital online bacon? frankly  it's laughable...

What a total waste of time their attempts have been.....

Here's an idea... all the billions wasted on this fruitless exercise  could have been put towards better conditions for those working in the movie industry, supporting women and equality in the workplace and making better movies!

https://www.myuv.com/

Now we have to relink all our paid for digital online content - out of the one UV place to - how many retailers??

Say what??

"Things are a bit trickier for UltraViolet users outside of the US. For one thing, you’re not eligible to create a Movies Anywhere account. And this note in the shutdown section of the Frequently Asked Questions is a little ominous..."

LMAO!

....Thanks for the memories and looking after my digital content (not) Hollywood!!!

(Here's a heads up...I never used your ridiculous useless DRM protection service in the first place anyway)

IMO!!!

I total agree with you on this Wapp - Had about 40 Movies on UV and can not believe how they have treated the customer
They should at least let us transfer them to iTunes or Google Play
You can. Link uv to movies anywhere

Not in the UK! My options were Flixster, Sony Pictures, or Kaleidescape
ah, didn't know that MoviesAnywhere has region restrictions - it's a great service...
Can you set up MA anyway using a VPN to create it and travel the ownership rights into the MA account until the time they do open that up globally.

MA is curious insomuch that once in there often rights holders give global rights. I was in the Bahamas and Mexico and Microsoft Movies will play my titles on Windows.

Don't relink. Don't touch those links.

Add links but don't touch existing links.
