Azjeeper95
I recently purchased a home and it came with this control 4 tablet installed. I looked into it and previous owner didn’t leave any controllers or remotes. I also have thermostat that seems to be for this control4 system as well. Looking to part with it. Not sure what it’s resale value is but I know what these retail for. Any advise/information would be appreciated. I’ll take best offer. AK1
You will need to purchase a Control4 controller to make these components work and pay a dealer to program it for you.
WhyPhy
To remove the touchscreen from the wall mount, you will need the Control4 Touchscreen Removal Tool. It's a flat metal plate with unlocking tines that release the touchscreen from the backer box. There are 2 backer boxes: the outer box that attaches to the stud and the inner box that has the Ethernet/power ports on it. The inner box will need to be removed from outer box and included with the T3 when you sell it. The outer box can be left in your wall and a blank cover plate can be placed on top of it. Azjeeper95
Oh ok thank you! I’ll have a dealer remove it for me!
Pounce
You may want to simply consider buying a used controller and having a remote programmer set it up. You might actually find some value.
BraydonH
I find it super odd that the old dealer took the controller but left the touchscreen. I would guess there is a controller in there somewhere, its jjust probably not pluggied into the network as you might have switched ISPs and such.
