fredsoneya
Is there any coloration between dealer of record and composer. Ie if I’m registered with 1 dealer but have a friendly online dealer who can make a few changes, do I have to change the dealer of record or can he just make the changes in composer and I keep my local dealer? Other than looking at the project, would my dealer know?
OceanDad
Dealer of Record would have to be changed for another dealer to use remote access. Not so if that dealer was sitting in your house on your wifi network. In any event, Dealer #1 would never know if you changed your dealer of record. He is not notified in any way. The only way he would know would be if he tried to remote in, or subsequently looked at your project and saw changes. My bet is that once you find your 'friendly online dealer' you will never go back to your original Dealer of Record. msgreenf
not necessarily true - another dealer can be added as a linked account without changing your dealer of record. Steelermedallion
eggzlot
Or if you trust the remote dealer you can set up a vpn. Then they can be on your network and connect. Grant it this gives them a ton more access. So depends if you want to go this route the other suggestions are more secure and how c4 wants you to proceed. But if you trust the person you can do the vpn and always shut down their credentials when the work is over msgreenf
OceanDad
And it should also be said... you can change your dealer as many times as you like over whatever time period you decide. It's one of the things that you can control yourself from the customer portal. Matt Lowe and msgreenf 1
