ejn1
Just had another Wattbox failure... Entire lower bank of outlets went dead. Second time a WB700 failed on me... This adds to the list of a WB200, WB400 and probably others. Shocked at the failure rate on these....
msgreenf
The 700 has a recall program on them and you can get it replaced under warranty. Happy to help if needed

Happy to help if needed thanks @msgreenf; last WB700 took about 3-4 weeks all in to get the replacement so I had to get a replacement for the interim. When I get a replacement, I'll try to get the RMA process going through my old dealer, if I can't, I will reach out. Huge thanks for offer. msgreenf

I have used Digital loggers with a lot of success as an alternative, seems like a similar concept.

cwilmo
If just controlling / rebooting a load and some basic protection is required it's hard to beat the TP LINK KASA KP303 with three individually controlled outlets which integrate nicely into Control4 for all of twenty five bucks (without the driver/integration/etc). They also have a 6 outlet version. Not as nice as a rack-mount but eh. I've always used SurgeX in my racks for the non sacrificial series mode surge suppression but only the non controllable ones. Looks like SurgeX also have some C4 certified rack mount units with individually controllable outlets like the SX-AX15E. In some cases it's nice to separate the surge protection from outlet control - all my components I like to have protected, but only a couple do I feel the need to reboot etc. I personally still like my Wattbox (150 and 300 series) that have been reliable for me, offer Ovrc integration/insight/control and are good at detecting outages and rebooting automatically without intervention (priceless!). C4 User
The Wattbox 700 has been a known issue for years. My dealer changed mine out before I ever experienced issues. At this point anyone that has an older version of the 700 should be working with their dealer to replace it. In my case, I was able to receive the new 700’s to replace the old and the sent old back to snap after the new were installed. Again, work with your dealer. That said, in the end I upgraded my 700’s to the newer 800’s so they would integrate properly into C4. msgreenf
