Nehsmit
Hi all, I had connected my honeywell home alarm with the Vista years ago and it worked perfect for years. Recently it went offline and I cannot get it back. Is there anyone here who might be able to get me back online? Thank you in advance. Doesn’t help you fix your problem, but should at least let you know whatever the issue is is specific to you.

Are you connecting the Honeywell alarm to a C4 controller via a serial cable? If so, one solution can be to simply power-cycle the controller that it is connected to. This happens to me once in a long while. A power-cycle of the EA-1 that is connected to my Honeywell alarm panel almost always fixes it. Sometimes rebooting the primary EA-5 controller can also knock my alarm offline; rebooting the downstream EA-1 is the solution here too. I hope this helps. It stopped working when we had a power outage and return of power. In the past it would always take a few hours after a power cycle to come back online but this time just hasnt come back. Ive rebooted multiple times but still no luck. My alarm company check the alarm and its still online. I only run an EA-5. No other controllers. The only other troubleshooting steps I know of are specific to my integration, which uses the HSIM module to connect to the panel. Sounds like you are directly connected to your panel though. Sorry not to be of more help.

I asked my programmer who said it’s not a reidentificstion issue. It’s just a connection.
