Garage opening when unlocking front door.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Got a weird thing happening here. Often, when I unlock my guesthouse front door (Baldwin Zigbee deadbolt) from the iOS app, one of my garage doors will open. The two buttons are NOT near each other on the app screen (see photo), so I am not accidentally hitting the garage button. It doesn't happen every time...but when it does, it causes problems because it starts the countdown on my alarm system and I need to make sure I get in and disarm it before ADT calls and the police show up at my house.

Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

@C4 BEAR - do you have any touch screens or an Android app in the project? If you see the same thing happening on those devices, it's likely some programming or other connections as others have mentioned. If it only happens when using the iOS app, then the issue is likely inside the app. In that case, you'll want to get the logs from the app, and send them my way. (Settings > Preferences > Email Logs) Just DM me for the email address.

WOW, sounds like it is worth checking out, THANK YOU. I've never noticed the problem from any of my touch screens or any of the other switches I have around the house that unlock that door.
