MSUK Posted April 27, 2023 Share Posted April 27, 2023 Hi all - sorry if I have missed this somewhere else on the forums I'm trying to improve the integration of Spotify with Control 4 - I've enabled the "auto play" feature and agree this is a huge improvement. Now all I have to do is open Spotify, select Control4 as the streaming option and the music starts. My question is this - if I want to use the "auto play" feature in different audio zones (living, bedroom, etc) - do I need to ask my dealer to install multiple instance of the Spotify driver (i.e. one for each zone) - and if so, how would Spotify know which zone to stream to? Or would the Spotify app update so that it the streaming options are "Control 4 - Living", "Control 4 - bedroom", etc. Or can this be achieved through programming? I hope that makes sense - just trying to get maximum control here over the audio zones through using Spotify without needing to go through the C4 app, which I think most of us agree is sub-optimal. You mean automatically activating a zone when you start playing to a zone from the Spotify app? If so, yes, it's called "Auto Play" on the driver config. lippavisual Posted April 27, 2023 Share Posted April 27, 2023 Yes, shairbridge can be set to autoplay per room, as long as that is enabled in each driver instance. Thats how my own house is setup.
