RyanE
Claude,I find it unlikely that CytexOne, who hosts this forum, has much incentive to create French Language Control4 'end-user' forums, such as these. You may find that a French Control4 dealer would be more interested in doing so.RyanE

neildilgee
Lol, jokes aside, all this is prove that with tact, there's no need for a french or chinese C4 forum. Just pop your question in any language and someone will reply. Oui, oui

RyanE
Well, the benefit to me if this forum were in French is that I wouldn't even *notice* the spam, since I couldn't read it.RyanE
thecodeman
French is such a great language, I'm not sure even the real spam would be a problem.
Cyknight
Yeah French is the, what, 15th most spoken language in the world? And I'm probably being positive in that.English is probaly 3rd or 4thfor that matter, with Mandarin and Spanish ranking higher.Would make more sense to look at those 2, Portugese, Russian, Japanese and German before French....But who yells the loadest gets heard the most. prabeau
Being from Québec ………… this is a topic that has, that is playing out all around me and don't need to read on a technically orientated forum about someones entitlement issues.Je suis francophone ( de vielle souche comme, dirait le gros" Monsieur" ) and it starts………….Cheers
louisraza1
I know that fench is not the most spoken language but sometimes in this world of thecnology and abbreviations like poe , htc , htpc and everythings else it would be more easy to understand for people who are not fully bilingual. Yeah French is the, what, 15th most spoken language in the world? Cyknight
The same would be true for the other languages - so the point remains the exact same.I've nothing against having forums in other languages - just asking for a rarely spoken language withing the US - to a US dealer hosting a forum. louisraza1
yes you are totaly right. How dont know how to figure out why a us dealer ( hosting ) would do it in french. But i would like to have some info on control4 stuff in french ... For exemple on the website or in some brochure . This will be more easy for some french customer .The same would be true for the other languages - so the point remains the exact same.I've nothing against having forums in other languages - just asking for a rarely spoken language withing the US - to a US dealer hosting a forum. matchka
For french speakers and for Claude, you could ask in the title of your topics a translation (ex: Mon HC800 prends feu (could someone translate this in english please). I'm not as comfortable with english langage as google translate ( ) but I would be happy to help anyone.Best regards from Toulouse, France.Matthieue-sensia.com
