Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 HD driver works for all Spectrum boxes I’ve ever come across. You will have to edit the previous channel command.

Why is my question. What does ubiquiti provide that your araknis doesn't? Going from an approved to one disapproved without a significant goal seems silly to me. Especially if the system is working. The reason it's not approved is that there can be multicast issues and some people set it up and it just works, others have nothing but problems. Again without a specific goal that can't be accomplished by araknis.
Ubiquiti is not disapproved network gear. And from what I hear, dealers have fewer problems with it than with Araknis or Pakedge.

I believe it is just one stream, regardless of how many zones the AVR will handle.

We have well over 100 C4 systems running on UniFi networks (USG, switches & APs). No issues. UniFi is way more reliable than Araknis based on what I hear from other dealers.

No. There are no programming capabilities with Amazon Music.

I have never seen video mini drivers work automatically. Have you?
Hmm, maybe I haven’t.

short answer is no. Longer answer is yes but you have to define each audio command you want and program it - it's not automatic like lights and HVAC
Video sources are automatic. Audio sources are not.

This is not a good idea.

I would suggest some wireless network setup as well. Specifically a 2.4GHz only SSID that you will connect the Neeo to.

I have the power series panel and it requires an IT-100. Quick google search shows you may need a TL-280 but I’m sure others can confirm
Neo panels use the TL-280 for C4 integration.

7 sirens? What in the world? Have you heard an alarm siren?

Powershades the brand does both power and data over the single poe line. Don't they have 2 way communication which would mean not just a relay.
Apparently they have an available breakout adapter that will separate the up, down & common wires for relay control from the Ethernet cable. You are correct in that they can be controlled via network as well. I don’t even know what brand of blinds the OP is using; it wasn’t mentioned in the post.

But it’s one CAT6A cable. Does the cable go from network switch into middpan then to blind?
Only if your blinds are Ethernet controlled.

A 24 / 48 Port Unifi POE switch is $379 / $589... Not sure a non POE switch plus a POE Texas injector is that different in cost? I guess there is always some premium on everything tidy in one box ....
For the OP’s scenario you don’t need network switching for these devices (at least the Dots)...only PoE power....

Unifi is/was on the do not use list. Another 3 page current thread with someone who is having issues
if you are looking at a system the size of the OP and the dealer is mentioning Luxul - then that is why I suggested the Midspan. Can still use Luxul switches so dealer has their comfort zone but can maybe save a few bux
i don’t recommend any models to the OP because I don’t know the Luxul line. The Texas PoE company has great support - email them all the devices and they will send you what you need to power it all. Then as mentioned use any switch. The Midspan has an “in and out” port per channel/device
UniFi is not on the Do Not Use list. C4 Gold dealer here, and we use UniFi exclusively for all our network gear. We have well over 100 C4 systems running on UniFi, and we don’t have network related issues.

Thos POETexas seem way more cost effective than buying full on POE switches, even from more modestly priced brands like brands like Unifi. Wonder why that is?
You are comparing apples to oranges. A midspan PoE injector has no network switching capability. It literally just injects power onto an Ethernet cable (or multiple Ethernet cables in this case). For the OP’s use, he wouldn’t have anything connected to the “LAN” inputs on the injector...only his Dots & shades (assuming they’re only PoE for power) would be connected to the “LAN+PoE” outputs of the injector.

But don’t the Powershades need to be on the network?
No. The Powershades are PoE power only. Control is via hardwired relays. Both are carried over one network cable which breaks out into RJ-45 & three wire leads (up, down, common) for the up/down relays. They do not have network communication.
EDIT: PoE Powershades DO have the capability of IP control; there is also an option for PoE power only and hardwired relays for control. In addition they offer battery power and hardwired LV power with RF control. Sorry for the confusion.
-
Exactly. You need a couple 24-port midspan PoE injectors for the blinds & Dots (assuming the blinds are only using PoE for power & not control). PoE Texas is what I would recommend as well. We’re about to install 50-60 PoE Powershades in one of our systems & that’s what we’ll be using.

We have a client with ten Neeos. We are using UniFi AP-AC-LRs for WiFi. We have created a 2.4 GHz-only SSID for each AP that a Neeo (or Neeos) will be connecting to. No connectivity issues since we set up this WiFi configuration for the remotes.

Amp 3-24V AC/DC trigger ?

You need a contact input & a relay output. Connect 12V & NC on the controller to your amp, then put a short jumper wire between COM & GND. Then you can add a generic relay in Composer as your amp.
