    Ok, so-
    All the devices including the touchscreens HAVE to be connected SDDP for the communication to work with the DS2 and TS-
    I updated to 2.10.5 this morning, removed driver, installed/updated, nothing worked. Until we connected the devices SDDP after the new update. That finally fixed it

    For what it's worth Charlie Kindle has stated on social media that while he lurks and looks at information/thoughts/ideas he won't chime in much as the VP of products getting involved in those things just isn't scale-able.  It would be awesome if he could respond to all of that stuff but I think expecting him to is a bit unfair as there are hundreds of thousands of C4 users.  This is why Control4 stresses the dealer model as your dealer should be your go-to and you should have direct access to them which is a scale-able model (FYI really not trying to start the dealer model debate with this).

    EXACTLY my point. And for someone to state that their opinion of the company is dropping because a tweet wasn't replied to is just silliness.

    @RyanE,

    Thank you for responding, I understand the need for C4 to be careful / secretive on upcoming product launches and or enhancements.  However, C4 can do a much better job of communicating to its ultimate customers.   I believe that C4 could provide better guidance to the customers who actually pay the bills and still maintain pre-launch product secrets.

    Yes, Control4 could announce future products. Control4 isn't a retail company, though, so I think you need to temper your expectations with the reality that they operate in a different channel than the companies with big product announcements.

    That's NOT what you said you did. You sent a private message to an executive and expected an answer, then expressed your displeasure that he didn't personally respond to you, when that response would likely have broken laws.

    @D.adams,

    I am getting more and more frustrated.   Last night, I even replied to one of Charlie Kindle 's tweets with a question, as well as sending a DM.   Guess what NO RESPONSE!    I once was a big fan of this company however, they are now losing me fast.

    Wow, you asked a public official about information likely covered by insider-trading laws and you got no response....

    SHOCKING!!!1!11!!!1

    well this isnt about iOS vs android at this point, but the last paragraph made me chuckle after reading the headline

    "As for the types of issues affecting Android handsets, one could reasonably argue that they’re more serious than the types of failures affecting iOS devices. To this point, the most common points of failure for Android devices involved USB issues, carrier signal issues, camera problems and battery charging difficulties and screen abnormalities."

    Those were hardware failure rates, which were less often than iOS ones. Also apps failed less often. So, as it pertains to the question at hand,  there's no "buggy android OS" other than in his head.

    and the problem with a public company trying to make money?

    EXACTLY! I hate the evil-corporation trope that everyone buys into without a second thought. Companies don't make money unless you CHOOSE to buy their products. They can't force you (generally) to do that. Providing you with the best user experience provides the most money, as it provides the most sales.

    Is that the HC-300 I have connected?

    Strange that I am able to turn heating on/off from C4 thermostats as usual though. Thry are Zigbee as well, aren't they? Does that provide any further clues to problem?

    Yes, thermostats are ZigBee. Can you control the thermostats from a remote or touch screen? Or are you saying can you turn heating on/off from the face of the thermostat?

    Are your keypads located in the rooms with all the lights located elsewhere? If your keypads don't work, but the lights do (and they're all ZigBee devices), they might be on separate ZigBee networks. A dead HC-300 power supply is a good possible cause, because that HC-300 might be running just the keypad ZigBee network. This is an easy-ish fix. Power supply replacements are available online from various sources, and it's pretty straightforward to swap a supply out.

  8. The video storm adds some streaming capabilities, but is quite a bit more $$.

    It's a shame you're pairing these with AMP108's.... those are pretty noisy amps compared to the new Triad Pamp8's. You would get EXCEPTIONAL audio quality with the Triad power amps and the Triad 24x24.

  9. Harmony remotes are designed to stay in one room, where BT range isn't an issue. Control4 remotes are not. Plus, Harmony assumes all your equipment is in that room, again, negating the BT range issue. In Control4, you frequently have sources in a centralized location or in multiple locations.

    BT range is a deal breaker for everything but static one-room solutions.
