We have the apple tv driver by Intrinsic and it recently stopped responding to remote commands. I can get on my iphone and use that remote function but not through the C4 system. I noticed on the Iphone remote for apple tv that now I have to select the device from the top drop down menu, I wonder if this is causing issues with the intrinsic driver. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution?
Driver is using an unpublished API work that is probably broken with the latest update, would u pls bring this to Intrinsic attention and seek their response, it might be a small/big work? Only they can answer this.
In the mean time if you have your prime controller EAx and above use the native Apple Driver, it just works! Also if you love tinkering you can use PyATV, it even allows you’ll to use MiniApps with your Apple TV!

What was the ZB signal health @ its position? Could be failing because of weak signal and it times out, I can see another switch @ same Master room with less signal strength than Living or Theater?

Add Sony to the mix, extremely solid integration, been using it for 7 years, 0 issues

Hi Matt, the install has been done by UK a qualified electrician and a Smart Home Pro but I do not understand what they have done hence my questions. I am hoping to have a sensible conversation with them if I can get some answers to my questions.
I strongly advise for a total re-work, this is a time bomb, don’t settle for such work, it’s full of issues, joints, fly wires, please have it redone by a neat electrician!

You could also use your Alarm System Contacts if you have it integrated to C4 through Panel Comm module.
In my case am using the Interlogix NX-454 Wireless Micro Door/Window Sensor integrated to C4 with CardAccess Wireless Sensor Bridge v2, I also spray paint them to any color I want and they are used extensively around my house, Battery lasts more than a year+ with extensive use and 2+ yrs with light usage!

This looks very dangerous and I suggest a full rework whatever the cost is, if something blows up it will take your entire setup, I’d never ever fire up work like this, so sorry it’s a shocker! Even without C4 terminal blocks, this how I did mine, my electrician had never installed it before, I just handed him a couple of C4 installation docs, oh and he does not do English as well!

I can't answer that, I have no idea were r u with the issue, is it a new Install, an old one? What had changed, etc. Better check configuration of each device.

I didn't notice you have a followup question, anyways, how is your new setup working? U can have Twonky Installed over Docker if your NAS can support Docker.

We currently have a mix of DropCams and Nest Cams for indoor and outdoor video. While the video quality is meh, the whole family loves the convenience of the Nest app: it is ridiculously simple and reliable to see a real-time feed or watch historical footage from any web browser or phone. I'm wondering if there are other brands that would provide similar ease of access with better image quality and with the C4 integration that we don't currently have. Another requirement is wifi connectivity, as we can't run ethernet to a number of the current camera locations. Finally, this is less critical, but I'd prefer to rely on cloud storage only, without having to set up and maintain an NVR.
I was looking at Amcrest. It seems to have good wifi camera options and Control4 drivers, and "Amcrest Cloud" looks like it should give us the same kind of real-time and historical access via their app or via a browser and without needing an NVR. Does anyone have thoughts on the ease of access/viewing, C4 compatibility, or other factors related to the Amcrest gear?
Thanks!
Fully supported with c4, 720p resolution is fine, most of my cams all types are used around house, all integrate to c4, various drivers free and paid are available

You need to have the proper drivers installed and setup. But just about any keypad interface for security can be configured to be customized within the c4 app.
So any security keypad? Can u give some examples pls, I can’t install the full DS2 only the mini, it’s impossible for me, I can for sure add a Keypad for Access to main gate!
How to integrate to C4 would be a + point as well.

But you can do this with programming (without bindings) unless I am missing something? I do a fair amount of programming against blinds in the bond driver. I also have a number of 2 state experience buttons that I have created. Combining a 2 state experience button with programming against the bond blinds should do exactly what you want?
I currently only use the bond driver for fan and light control (although I used to use it for blind control) and I have done exactly what I described above for some of my fans.
Yes, you are right, aganist programing, I will ask my dealer to install C4 Screen experience button and will see if I can manipulate that in HE.

I would assume that you could also create your own screen Experience button and program against this?
No that is not possible, there will be no bindings for it to work, bond driver doesn’t expose any connection

Yep it’s configured as screen but the UI is exactly like shade, is that a bug in C4 app?
-
Is there any way we can shaw a Projection Screen Experience Button for a Projection Screen instead of the regular Shade Icon of C4? All Types are using the shade driver and would be great if we manage to get a screen UI instead of the Shade one? C4 Experince Button works with relays which is not availabe with the driver.

Thanks everyone! We’ll definitely run the display diagnostics on one if the Chowmain drivers annd see if that provides an hint and hopefully my dealer gets some feedback from C4 today! I have no doubt he will.
Pls share the findings when u nail it!

Will good luck to get them respond to your dealer, this could take weeks to get any response! I hope I’m mistaken …

In The same screen u shared if you go to “Connections” then select IP tab u can manually enter the new IP of your Onkyo receiver, give it a sec, when u go back to “System Design” Tab u will find it’s connected to your network!

I have august locks When I control them via control 4 app I have them set up for when the garage door is unlocked the garage lights come on and when door is locked lights go off. My question is there a way to turn lights off/on via august app. I would have thought once locks open and close control 4 would recongnize and turn lights on/off but thats not the case.
I don’t think August app have some of C4 capabilities, why don’t u achieve all your automations within C4?

I am sure there was some way to upload custom wallpaper to the older T2 touchscreens but I can't locate it!
I only have 1 theme available on the screen at it asks if I want to go to the 4Store to download others but then just hangs
I can see there is a UI Agent in Composer and a number of wallpapers can be selected but "Apply to.." does not show any of my screens (which are all T2).
All screens are running 2.9.1.549509 and director is 2.10.6.561784
Thanks
Custom Wallpaper was removed in 2.10.6, u need to either forget about it or downgrade your controller to 2.9.1!

Using a Synology NAS in my camper for PLEX.
Wishing to put to power it down from an AWAY macro, and wake it with a HOME macro.
Wake is probably easiest with a Wake on LAN command?
Sleep is tricky, found this link which uses SSH.
https://www.c-amie.co.uk/technical/how-to-shutdown-a-synology-dsm-6-nas-using-a-script/The other options I'm aware of are to use a UPS and turn that off, which through the USB link between it and the NAS will power down the NAS.
Or, scheduling, but that's not very flexible.
Ideas appreciated.
Seasonal site, 120v yes, internet not always reliable, camper has it's own router/network setup using wifi bridged to campground.
EA1, OS3.x, Shelly for integrating campers 12v lighting etc.You can shut it down with DS Finder App, and Wake it up with WOL configured, I never tried it before, for automating it, will need to research maybe TCP driver can be used rather than writing a driver for it!

I realize that this is a forum for those who work with C4, but was hoping there might be some info here for a methodical way to remove a system without utterly wrecking my house. E.g., almost all of our light switches are C4, some wired some not. If we remove all of our controllers I’m afraid our lights won’t work. BTw, we’re not on the original c.2005 control equipment! We’ve done upgrading since then, but I know if we want to keep going we’d need to do a large upgrade and I’m done with automation. And I also know this is beyond DIY and we’ll have to pay someone to do this. But most good electricians around here won’t touch C4.
Surely some systems get removed? Trying to figure best practices for that.
Without getting detailed info on your setup nothing much can be offered, lighting can stay for sure, upgrade only controllers and am not even sure what else u have, but you said u need to get rid of it, so get a Lutron quote including removal of existing equipment am sure this can be done and will be cost effective @ least ur getting something u hate out!

Yep, it need to be added to the system by your dealer! So need to be deleted and then added by SDDP everything should work fine as before after this.
