so what you want to do is when your on the music grab the denon remote, hit options then change the video source under options, if options button doesnt give you this selection then go into the avr settings and under input assign and change the settings in there
-
see whats cheaper running a few extra cats or do an ip controlled avr just for video swithing
-
are they set to reboot outlets if no internet is detected?
-
Agree with chope, ir placement is key. Use Jesse ir driver and you should have flawless control without delay.the ir is about a little more then an inch from the left side and a half inch from the bottom

I second the the tcl roku tv especially the series 5 , it is a fantastic tv for its price point

Make sure the bindings are correct. You need a gateway driver, the lock driver and a generic lock driver.
i do have the following drivers gateway, lock, generic lock, all the bindings are correct, im using the wifi august lock but still it doesnt show properly and the wifi is 2.4 with a simple password and the wifi is strong at the location, just had to wonder if i can just use the wifi lock without a gateway
-
installed the wifi august lock, installed the driver and the gateway driver but no gateway, the status doesnt change so still trying to figure it out, lock and driver are up to date

2 things i would try, controller reboot, if that doesnt work, unregister and register it again.

i used xfinity x1 v2 driver, the ir is in a funky spot, sorta on the front/bottom really the in the middle edge, if memory serves and its a small area.

Definitely an option. Thanks. The problem is that I am not yet convinced that this is a hardware issue and my dealer is pretty convinced that it is a software/firmware issue…
im not gonna disagree totally with your dealer, as electronics are electronics, but i do have several sites with 2 ea5 running into a matrix using digital and analog into and the hdmi's feeding avr's. while i have seen other issues the sites are working fine. i have had ea5 with bad digital outputs right out of the box. troubleshooting can be lengthy and tedious. what i would try would play a stream for say a half hour, see if your audio depredates, if not add a 2nd stream try that for a half hour if still working fine keep adding streams until you hear the issue. if you dont then start the process again, if you do start the process again. if you do i would unbind the digital. then start the process again with just using analog and if doesnt happen at all bind the digital again, begin the process again and once it starts then physically disconnect the cable and see if the problem still happening and you will determine if its a port issue, cable issue or if the ea5 is being strained playing that many streams at once

A big factor for me is having my outdoor TV audio distributed all over the pool area as opposed to just using a soundbar
feed the audio from your sources or you tv back to the matrix and you will be able to

outdoor speakers just like any speaker really depends on what you want your listening experience to be, cheap is cheap and will not last. sonance, triad episode are pretty good, i wouldnt go with 4" speakers i would stay with 6" or 8". i would also plan out your area with zones so you can have adjustable volumes for the areas outdoor. for me i have 4 sets of speakers in my yard. patio has a pair, pool has 3 pairs, grill has a pair and my yard has a pair. when entertaining the patio will always be backround music, keeps the wife happy, the grill area is a bit louder as i enjoy louder music, pool is gonna be louder as well and yard can be a bit louder too. i have all episode 6" running off episode rsp amp. now if i had the money i would do some coastal speakers as they sound phenomenal, just out of my budget for my setup. planning is key as well as speaker and amp selection
-
do you have a 4 conductor wire or a 2 conductor wire at the location? if you have a 4 conductor wire you can use a dual voice coil speaker which will make it stereo, if only a 2 conductor then yes your stuck with a left or right and that amp doesnt do mono summing so it would only be a left or right channel. option then would be to do a 70v speaker and 70v amp to achieve both channels of music
-
could always add another set of analog sources albeit a hc800 or ea3. i know its not optimal but it would give you more sources and get the ea5 repaired. ive seen a few problems with the digital outputs on ea5, not many but have seen it. see if your dealer has a loaner while you get yours repaired
-
room control driver would be easiest, under programming, use when room enters listens mode turn off tv
-

yes you can do exactly what you want, connect the dot to the ea5 analog in. you will have to do some setup in alexa so music will be played by the dot, then setup scenes in control4 and play music from the dot depending on the scene you setup.i have several dots around the house run back to my matrix with audio baluns so it can be done in those rooms as well, but again setup amazon alexa app first
-
if you only have a cat going inside, then you have 2 options
1 if you have a matrix use audio baluns from the matrix to an amp outside in a safe place out of the weather
2 use a triad one outside and again put the triad in a safe place out of the weather

sounds like the incorrect driver or setup as a roller shade. which driver are you using for the bridge, and the shade itself?
-
i have 3 in my system
kitchen, master bedroom and theater, i use them all pretty regularly but i do also use a lot of experience buttons for items that i use all the time for lights, fans and custom buttons for scenes and favorited music. i also utilize keypads in other rooms with just audio because sometimes i just to like to walk into a room and click a button to start some music instead of pulling out the phone to select music.

at the bottom of the screen click the circle with the lines in it.
-
is the tv ip controlled? is it a roku tv? is cec turned off on all devices connected to the tv?
-
just as someone else has stated eero should be put in bridge mode, if not it will create its own network and everything on the eero mesh will be on a different ip scheme and wont communicate with the wired devices running on the other ip scheme

really you can add users to your account from your account in customer.control.com however you can disable notifications is really about the only thing you can do from the site You could also use the agent in composer to lock the lighting page and security page or any other page which would then require a password each time you or anyone else would like to view them on any interface.
