Has anyone worked with these 3rd party models and have them working as stable equivalents to DS2s? Wanting to upgrade from a SkyBell WiFi doorbell but would need to run a CAT cable, which will be difficult, if not impossible, as long as I don’t want to remove trim and sheetrock.

It wasn’t obvious but I have the same remote as some other write-ups so it was simple. You can use a couple wires to test and find the right point by touching them together and they’ll open / close door once you get the correct two. And yes the opener still works fine. I haven’t plugged into the back of my io extender yet but it still works. Also cleaned it up a bit using a simple weatherproof outlet cover from Lowe’s: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Port lights certainly work when connected, but Fing or OVRC won’t pick it up at all. I have not connected anything to the contacts or relays yet but wouldn’t think that would keep it from being found on the network. Perhaps I just need to be patient and get it added to my system along with garage doors when dealer is available. Would be open to a remote dealer if available this evening. Was given a barely used io extender (not v2) and want to factory reset prior to having someone add to my system. I’ve read up on documentation but pressing the reset button on back for 5-7 seconds doesn’t seem to do the trick. Am I missing something? Got it all wired up tonight. Now just need to get the io extender added to my project along with the drivers and two doors. Hopefully my last question...since I’ll be having two rail sensors, one for each door, how would I connect both to the back of the EA3 since, from what I understand, there’s only one contact sensor there? Adding a few things and just noticed my EA3 doesn’t have the pluggable terminal block to connect to relay / contacts. Are these control4 specific or can I pick them up at a store? I’m starting to rethink how I want to integrate since my main EA3 is accessible above garage so I can wire directly to it and don’t think I need any Z2io or Axxess modules. This is a new one for me so I’m looking for some wiring diagram help on how to do this. Setup: Two MyQ security 2.0 garage doors with Rail Contact Sensors on both. Question: Do I have to run separate wires back to rack or can attach these two sensors together and a single run back to the rack? Also, which relay port do they attach to on the EA3? Then at my rack I’ll hack our extra garage door opener and solder wires to connect directly to EA3. Question: Which port do these two wires attach to? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How much do the Acxess Relays cost? And are the rail-mounted contact sensors better since they’re hard-wired versus Nyce tilt sensors or is it a wash really? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Curious what makes using the Z2io and contact sensors better than the Axcess Relay and contact sensors? Is it mainly because the Z2io is branded C4? Asking because I have two garage doors and thought one Axxess will work for two but I’d have to buy two Z2io and use one for each door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exact same thing happening to me as well. Since there’s a bit of a lag using C4 with MyQ I’ve always stuck to the chamberlain app and didn’t really notice this. But do need it fixed nonetheless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have an Apple TV 4 (believe it’s the version just prior to 4K) in one room which has been controlled via IR since day 1 of my install. However it self upgraded to os13 and now doesn’t work. Does the new OS also break previous IR drivers? I’m aware if the 4K issues but not this. Anywho, might could use someone to add this or another updated IR driver for me. Not sure if it’s my computer or network settings, but we have an HP all-in-one simple desktop computer connected to our network via WiFi. Before we only had a Linksys Velop mesh system and I could only connect to Composer HE via the remote method versus local. Fast forward to today, I just upgraded every network piece to araknis (router, switches, WAPs) and still get the same thing. Any advice whether it could be the HP all-in-one or specific network settings causing the issue? I’ve tried reinstalling composer HE several times as well. Currently on 3.0. Looking to upgrade network. 3700 sq ft, two floor home Currently have 24 port unmanaged araknis switch as main lighting up all cat5e outlets and two 5 port switches behind a couple TVs with Linksys Velop 3 node system for WiFi. Looking to upgrade to all arakanis or Ubiquiti gear. Below is what I’m thinking. Please comment or send pricing if available: Aranknis: Router - 310 (or is 300 plenty?) Switch - 210 16 or 24 port WAP - 810 x3 (is this overkill??) Ubiquiti: Router - security gateway with cloud key Switch - 60 or 120w 16 or 24 port WAP - AC pro x2 and In-Wall HD (x1 or x2) Any thoughts, pricing, etc would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! I’ve had MyQ garage integrated for a while now and everything functions great. Can open close from Control4 app just fine. However I only get a Control4 push notification when I actually use the C4 app to open/close one of the garage doors. We don’t get any notification if triggered from the garage door buttons on wall or from vehicles. Instead we have to have the MyQ app send us all push notifications. Is this known or do we simply have some notification settings wrong? I’ve searched and played around with Composer HE and if>when and can’t get C4 to send open/close push notifications regardless of what app or method is triggering the garage doors to open.
