Greg, just a little info on the SSD in the New Prime servers. All Kaleidescape Servers are now the "Terra Prime" and they are much faster all around. The only servers that ship with SSD are the 31 and the 8 and the 31TB costs the same as the 88TB (non ssd). The ssd prime is mostly designed for Boats, Planes and RV's I have the 88 Prime and notice a really good difference in downloads. -
Good write up Greg. I think we will continue to see great control4 and josh integration. It would be in everyone’s best interest.

Halo Touch On Screen Custom Buttons
JSTRONG replied to datzent83's topic in General Control4 Discussion

I’m sure control4 has already spent millions trying to do this.
-
The touch is cooler than the halo. I like the feedback it shows. I also prefer a remote with buttons. Although that pronto remote was the best

Isn’t ruckus one of the most expensive ap you can buy ? Certainly way more then Araknis
-
Also consider handoff issues. I would try to stay all Araknis.

I just tested this. Hey josh what is the weather for tomorow. What is the weather for thursday, friday, etc.. it gave me the forecast for each day.

Replacing Araknis hardware with Ubiquiti
JSTRONG replied to pinkoos's topic in General Control4 Discussion
We had hundreds of Ubiquiti networks out there including my own house. The management interface is really cool. You can monitor everything. It is inexpensive. (really like those LV box size wifi6 ap's) Once we started installing the Halo's we saw a lot of problems with network drop off. Over the prior years we had trouble with Araknis network equipment. But the latest Araknis is really good. We are seeing trouble free Araknis networks that are more reliable with higher speed tests than Ubiquiti. My own home we switched to Araknis Router, switches and AP's 3 months ago and not even 1 family member complaint since the changeover. In the 3 months not 1 halo and now halo touch drop off. Super responsive and reliable -
Yes we needed a home button. I keep pressing the Onscreen button thinking it will take the remote to the home page I have 6 in my home. Battery life is great. Love the smaller form factor.

I have several slightly used Control4 Halo Remote controls. They are well packaged in the Halo Touch remote box. $350 each includes an unused charging dock and packing. I had to modify the packing to fit the Halo remote
-
I first plugged them into the nvr but then support told me they need to go into a network switch to integrate with control 4. You can’t even see them on the touchscreens if they are plugged into the nvr. here are my camera models

Hey dawn. Go start your own thread and what’s your introductory price. ?? Control 4 contract state you are not allowed to offer to sell their products at a discount. I’m sure they would not be happy about your trying to sell their products at a discount online. Now delete this post please.
