But also doesn't haven't GbE which is almost necessary if using HDR/DV (especially so w/Plex).
Unfortunate (and stupid) for sure, but most encodes of HDR/DV 2160p content is <90Mbps or so in my experience. I stream quite a bit of HDR/DV content via Plex to the Ultra.

I finally got this working - but I really don't know how. A series of resets+reflashes+reconfigs.
I think there is an issue with the latest firmware on the Assure locks. Others have reported similar functionality. It's working for now, but sometimes it still flakes out. I think I may downgrading the firmware on the lock.

Yeah, this is what I did eventually, switched all ATV’s to IR, actually it’s becoming a headache more than a fun to use, with the latest codecs issues a $50 Xiaomi Android TV box is outperforming ATV in all aspects including Mini Apps and streaming 4K HDR 10 contents flawlessly, something ATV doesn’t have!
Have you considered Roku Ultras?

Yes I have those same things. they feed into my axxis wireless relay sensor. its the axxis that is screwing up.
Ah - yeah, if you don't have homeruns back to a C4 controller, maybe try using a Z2IO?

The irony of this maintenance window was that it's to make the platform more resilient by using more zones in AWS so that they'll be less outages based on single zone failure
I would hope they were already operating in multiple availability zones.. but maybe not their entire stack.

Yes. I have these on three garage doors for 2+ years now with no issues:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H3GCW0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But - they are hardwired (I have CAT6 to sensor locations).

Dumb question, but how did you make a separate "Holiday Modes" section/screen? Is it just another room?

Ok - so, I can't get this reliably working at all on one of my locks.
The Assure that seems to work well consistently has a "module firmware version" = 5.
The Assure that does NOT work has a "module firmware version" = 7 (newer!). On this lock, I can't get any LAST_UNLOCKED_BY programming to trigger, even though the logs indicate that it should. I guess I'm going to try resetting/renrolling/etc - which sucks because it's sort of a PITA.
All other settings are the same.
@RyanE - do you have any Assures? If so, do you have any issues on any of yours like I'm describing? Thanks for your help!

Unlocked Manually is the wrong event to put programming in for when a user unlocks the lock.
There are different events for unlock and lock, depending on how the lock was locked or unlocked.
You want just 'Unlocked', not 'Unlocked Manually'.
RyanE
I thought the same thing, but the lock (via it's Last Action Description in Composer) thinks a keypad unlock is indeed a "ManualUnlock." Like I said.. if I put programming under "Unlocked Manually" *outside* of the LAST_UNLOCKED_BY conditional, it triggers as expected.
I do see this in the logs:
LockReport_LockStatus Status: unlocked Description: ManualUnlock Source: Yale Lock ManualCaused: true NOTIFY.LOCK_STATUS_CHANGED Lock_HistoryEventNow: ManualUnlock Yale Lock Lock_HistoryEvent ManualUnlock Yale Lock 2022.01.04 08:38 ZL.logPacketTransmission(): class[Inbound] frameType[ClusterSpecific] clusterId[0x0009][Alarm] commandId[0x00][Alarm] sequenceNumber[0x13] Inbound.Handlers.Alarm(): alarmId[0x13][KeypadUnlock] ZL.logPacketTransmission(): class[Inbound] frameType[ClusterSpecific] clusterId[0xfc00][AssaDoorLock] commandId[0x36][GetLastUserIdEntered] sequenceNumber[0x14] UI.update(): LastUserIdEntered UI.update(): LockStatus LockReport_LockStatus Status: unlocked Description: KeypadUnlock[Housekeeper] Source: Yale Lock ManualCaused: false
So - it looks like the driver sees a Manual Unlock, and then a normal Unlock? I'll play with this more later when I get home. The conditional doesn't work under "Unlock" either, though.
-
I found the LAST_UNLOCKED_BY variable, but I'm having trouble getting it working. What am I doing wrong here? Nothing in the LAST_UNLOCKED_BY variable is firing.
I know "Housekeeper" is the correct user (verified by using the "Print users" action in the driver, and debug logging prints the user when the lock is unlocked). I can throw an action outside of the LAST_UNLOCKED_BY conditional and it fires as expected, but I can't get any user-specific actions to trigger using the LAST_UNLOCKED_BY_EQUAL variable.

To do this for me (kwikset locks) you have people's individual codes and in C4 you give them names. For programming you say
When x door last unlocked by "Cleaners"
-> Run scene xyzI was just trying to figure out how to do this with Yale locks, but I don't see that it's possible - unless I'm missing something. I do see a variable called LAST_UNLOCKED_BY, but I don't see how I can use it in programming.
-
Is this possible? I don't think so - but thought I would confirm here.
Use-case: automatically trigger "housekeeper mode" once the housekeeper unlocks the door. I currently handle this by having the housekeeper tap a keypad button, but it would be nice to eliminate that step.

Denon, Yamaha, and Marantz get a lot of mentions here because SnapOne/SnapAV sells them to the channel.
These brands got a lot of love way before they were sold by Snap. Denon is generally a reliable and proven brand. Onkyo's numerous HDMI issues scared a lot of people and drove them to other brands.
.. and while Snap does sell Denon/Yam/Marantz, they have all been out of stock for basically a year now, so folks are sourcing them from other places.

Denon (AVRX) w/ IP control has been flawless for me.

Thanks @LollerAgent. I have been using this driver for many years, probably before this functionality was added.
I didn't know about this functionality either. Excited to try it!

I have used the TCP driver for years, but how do you integrate Siri shortcuts?

This thread has me thinking........
I also have the old analog volume controls in every room. If I removed then and wired a 3 button switch, can you program a button to join the audio selection of a specific room? Typically my wife would stream something in the kitchen, and add rooms....but this would also be a benefit if she wants to just add a room from the room, I'm also looking for a reason for the 3rd button.
other ideas from anyone who's done this are welcome. FWIW, we either stream Apple Music or use the SiriusXM or Pandora Apps.
thanks.
Sure - the Room Control driver is the easiest way to join other rooms.
I do this is my home. If I'm playing music in my master bath for example, I can double tap the "Music" button in my master bedroom and it will join the master bathroom session. Same with kitchen/keeping room/dining room/etc.

There are some great bits to the Tesla display but some things are much easier and safer with physical buttons.
You mean like remotes?
I feel the same about the Neeo - although, I must admit, they are growing on me.

Hi all,
Just curious, for new installs are folks installing an analog inwall volume control in rooms with distributed audio or are you direct wiring to speakers and just using digital volume control from keypads or apps? I see the benefit of inwall control being a quick turn down or muting but then it adds something in the signal path and another element into the wiring.
Kudos to C4 on their OS3 audio interface (not so new i know).... combined with a C4 input switcher and any multiroom amp creates a great user experience. I havent felt the need to reach for Sonos or my Auralic streamers in secondary rooms yet, the C4 experience has been great.
I wouldn't say analog volume controls are common at all anymore.
Quick volume control is nice, though - and this is why I typically use the up/down buttons of a C4 keypad to handle volume control when the room is playing audio.
