  3. No good Mitch. But maybe you can look at it and a few other things when you have a minute. I’ll pm you. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. lol, yes. Probably old as dirt. They came from a working system though. A friend gave me 8 of them to play with programming events off of motion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks Mitch. I can’t seem to get them to add. I’ve reset the mesh on them (powered on while holding the button for 10 seconds), but the 4 press routine doesn’t seem to populate them. I’ve tried the card access and C4 drivers. No luck. Tried many many times. My Zigbee mesh is working fine all other Zigbee devices look great. I’ve tried several different sensors. 6. All, Will these motion sensors work with OS3.1? Thanks!
  7. I’m tiptoeing into this tonight. It’s been a long week and I travel for the next two weeks. So I’m planning on getting as much done as I can this weekend. Tonight, I was too burnt out to do much. Couple of things I did notice. WAPs are all 4 static (as I mentioned) from the initial setup (that never worked), but they are addressed within the dhcp range (192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.253)at .249,.250.251 &.252. I always thought that was a no no and static’s were supposed to be outside of the reserve range? I could be nuts. Thought I had learned that years ago. Regardless, and since it’s been suggested by all of you, the WAPs will be dhcp (and reserved), I already moved one to dhcp and reserved its IP and noticed a decent change. Not enough, but a start. Then I switched another to dhcp and haven’t reserved its IP yet and it seemed to wreck the system again. Now, I have decent wireless signal, but still can’t connect outside and all wired devices are sluggish at best. I’m hoping that once I get the other 3 WAPs to dhcp and reserved and add the NK-1 controller to adjust them, I might be onto something. I’m still going to reset the entire network, each appliance and each device in sequence. I’d just like to get that squared away, my reservations set up or at least have a spreadsheet to re-reserve when I factory reset, before I start rebuilding it flat and properly sequenced. Try to go easy on me. I’m always very appreciative of the help and I try to learn the first time so that I can also pass along knowledge or at least know who to point someone to when an issue comes up that I see is in someone’s wheelhouse. And there’s a ton of story behind the dealer situation, so suggesting I find a new dealer isn’t an option. If you’d like to PM me, I guarantee you, you’ll understand. At this point I really let them just do the difficult installation work and some initial device setup (which honestly I can do myself) and then unfortunately I have to have a particular very highly qualified remote programmer here help “fix” it, but network, and specifically Pakedge, isn’t everyone’s skill set. Plus it’s remote and I’ve got the heavy lifting to do here first before I beg someone to jump in remotely. I’m not above asking, just trying to get to a place that can happen. Thanks guys. I’m in over my head and I’m very very stressed out going one almost 10 days. Again, please try to go easy on me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Will Pakedge support "any" C4 dealer? When I asked for my SX PoE+ switch to be firmware updated (that piece requires a login), my dealer says they cannot login because they don't have the PCNA certifications.
  9. I started thinking that the EA-5 DNS is set to Google, but the network he has set to Comcast's DNS, I'm just wondering if that could be causing any of this mess at all. Also, are there any settings in the Netgear CM1150v that could be off?
  10. @LollerAgent Thanks guys! The 4 WAP'S, DHCP or Static? He has them static right now before I tear this thing apart tonight. if dhcp, reserve these?
  11. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of the learned input. I’m sure you all understand my frustration. I’m literally stressed out over all of this. I’m tearing it all down tonight and starting clean. I’m guessing I’ll be posting issues and progress, so try to go easy on me. I’m seriously only trying to get it to a point to get some remote help. I’m not pretending to be an expert, in fact a novice at best. You network guys blow my mind. It’s just so far above my pay grade. I do have some simple questions regarding best practices. If you were to completely dumb down the process of initial setup? I’m absolutely going to reset each network appliance from the modem all the way to the WAPs. I’ll make sure all is also firmware updated. As for IPs and DHCP res. I’ve read some conflicting info on this forum. What device IPs should be static? What IPs should be reserved in my dhcp table? I’m xfinity, best dns? Google or Comcast? Ea-5 Zigbee channel? Scan or choose? VLans? One thing I’ll obviously do first is to make a record of my existing dhcp res table. I’d save that config and reload it, but I don’t know what might reload with it, so I’d rather just recreate it. What is the best practice boot sequence of network appliances and system devices? 12. As most of you have heard I'm sure, SnapAv has announced that they are now a nationwide distributor of Sonos. I'm curious if this may be a sign of more robust integration with C4?
  13. Thanks @Cartnj So the NK-1 will connect to the main switch as will the SX-8P PoE+ switch? (Then the WAPs obviously connect to the SX switch to add the PoE+). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have a good feeling about this now. Let’s confirm the physical setup. Modem to Router Router to Main Switch Main Switch to Devices & PoE+ Switch Poe+ Switch to APs Where do I install the NK-1 Wireless Controller? On another note (and this will be all reset with the factory resets) my integrator created a range of new reserved IPs other than the router default. Then named the SSID the same as the Orbi, including security and password. He tried to clone the Orbi system so it would be “flip a switch”. Great idea in theory. Not sure how many issues that created when changing the router default IP and the default dhcp reserve range. One of the new AP IPs conflicted with my Nest Hello Doorbell. So that AP IP was changed again. What about band steering on the APs? Right now, it’s the only way I can get anything even slightly working. But my guess is all of this has to do with some old settings stuck in the past setups and will resolve once the system is reset, firmware updated (all but SX-8 is updated - that requires a Pakedge login). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. But... most of the Pakedge system was purchased used... I need to start fresh and factory reset every piece.
  16. The Orbi was the entire prior wireless system. It's not on the new Pakedge system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. During my whole system revamp it seems I’ve lost the audio endpoint for the EA-5 native music apps to one of my Sonos rooms. My Listen menu is empty. It’s strange because nothing in that room should have been touched. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’ve separated the SSIDs and although there is some improvement on 1 of the APs, it otherwise still horrid. A few things are apparent. Only 1 AP likes going outside (to the internet)of the Network and that’s also still pretty sluggish. If I survey signal, I have to disconnect and reconnect to jump to the next AP in order to maintain speed. Regardless of the speed of the wireless, it still is very sluggish if it even will load a webpage. I ordered an NK-1 controller. I’m going to start fresh (cookbook style) from a clean boot of the modem>router>switches>AP’s and making sure to power cycle each device on the network. Making sure to update all of the firmware etc. I’ll have my dealer here working with me on several things Monday all day, but they stopped supporting Pakedge in lieu of Luxul over the last few years. They’ll definitely be helpful, but I’m not sure they’ll have access to BakPak or C4 support. I was pretty deadset on Pakedge because of the C4 relationship. I hope they’ll support us. 23. I reached out to Lutron & C4 today. They have opened a ticket. Let's see how this goes.
  24. Thanks @ILoveC4 I’m starting in Programming and at the device. If I click on the device there are three boxes below to check. I check When device is “on”, then go to the set up 10 min timer and drag it in. Then over to the right tree and select the device again and add the if statement (when timer expires) drag it in followed by dragging in the “off” command? And ...nope. No good. Manually turn fan on and it goes off in 5 secs. Maybe I should take a picture tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
