  1. If this is occuring on 3.2.2 with the touchscreens and Android app, then it would be good to know. If it is the Apple Intercom Anywhere app, then I would be patient until the combined app solution is available.
  2. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the touchscreen, OSD, and app resolutions. Control4 systems do not downscale the camera streams and have a max resolution of 1080p if OSD is not used and 720p if OSD is used. Supporting higher resolution is definitely a known request.
  3. I think that feature would be awesome as well, so there is no convincing required on that part. I'll check what is going on in that regards and see if I can prod someone that it is still very desired.
  4. Like I said, legacy technical debt. The heightened attention to security didn't start until mid to end of 2019.
  5. There is a lot of technical debt and thanks for your work in pointing it out. Your help is appreciated. Not everything has been reviewed, but will be. Your work just bumped up the priority of the mobile apps and cloud interactions.
  6. Understanding of unauthorized use? Nah, that is taken seriously. Publishing an official doc condemning the integration followed by a legal cease and desist is something I could look into. Probably not what you were wanting by publishing official docs. It's easier when the integration is approached honestly, otherwise my job is to ensure it is shut down.
  7. In the past, sure. Now? Nope. Those got dismantled or deprecated. Control4 has never done MitM to find the info to control a device with stolen auth information though. Extra Vegetables and other driver developers have, but all of those EV drivers are deprecated and unsupported.
  8. Sounds like a call out and a challenge. Honestly would have hoped you would have reached out like an honest and worthy integrator rather than shrug it off like it's moral.
  9. Because it is unauthorized and utilizes a hack that was reported. Step 1 for moving to secure IoT is ensuring only what is expected to connect can actually connect. My suggestion to whoever develops the Home Assistant, if they watch here, is to reach out and get Control4's approval and proper authorization.
  10. Be wary of Home Assistant integration. It is not authorized and uses a hacked implementation. Control4 is aware of the problem and may shut it down.
  11. Composer HE does exist, but it isn't the level of access OP desires. It only allows configuration of drivers, local media (if used), and programming. Adding light switches or devices/drivers requires Pro. Remote programmers are available, but, generally, dealers are supposed to service only their respective areas unless given approval. It violates the dealer code of conduct if done without approval from Control4.
  12. If you want DIY, Control4 is not the solution you want. It is not a DIY solution, it is a professionally installed and maintained system.
  13. Yes, holding the button will reset it. If you are in the U.S., a repair like that should be covered under a home warranty and with the right dealer can include an entire network and smart system upgrade paid for by the insurance.
  14. Yes, but I would only go to 2.10.6 if you do. Ideally you should be on 3.2.2 if possible.
  15. The app requires the controller to be registered. Does it show registered in customer.control4.com?
  16. To be fair, the integration and setup is still a pain in the ass. You'd be better off tossing the Amazon stuff and going with Josh.ai.
  17. Due to how spotify playlists work, they save like a station.
  18. Playlists do not show up. Only stations/favorites.
  19. Navigator options in Composer Pro. Hide the thermostats you don't want visible in each room.
  20. If it is still used after reboot, you might be able to find it in director logs when the project loads if director's log level is set to trace or debug.
  21. Unfortunately, there is no method to find out. Just have to keep deleting until it shuts off. I would reboot the controller after removing the driver in case something was not shut down correctly during driver destruction.
  22. A dealer can set up stuff for OvrC Home, but OvrC itself is not an end user tool, nor is it expected to be.
  23. You might not know who I am, so that disagreement is misplaced. Hint: I tested the entirety of the announcement agent in 2.10.x-3.0.0 at Control4.
  24. Depends. If I remember correctly, you can delay the period between creating the file and executing the announcement, and it only needs to be about 10 seconds to be safe.
  25. The risk of changing the file dynamically right before the announcement is if the file is not there or partially written when the system tries to load it, the announcement will not work and will be stuck for 60 seconds until the failure timeout. If you change the file well before the announcement, that should be fine.
