I thought I recalled some discussion in another thread were you changed the way you were doing something with the driver. I'm sorry if that's not the case. I could try poking around to find the reference.
I recall it as well. Something along the lines of putting the scripts on another device rather than on the controller.

Guys, this is all I wanted. I can easily control anything in C4 using curl with this driver. Why everyone has to be so argumentative, defensive, and egotistical is beyond me.
This is an awesome driver and will open up a lot of possibilities for integration. That's what this is all about, "hacking" one device at a time
It also sounds like you are a dealer. Just note that you might want to review the contract terms with Control4 and be wary if they take offense a dealer contract termination could be on the table.
-
That is not true. The limit to one controller dropped after 2.10.4.
Two Triad One zones is well within the device limit threshold that is in the recently udpated controller spec document.
-
You might find this one applies better since it is not an application on your computer.

I think you’re missing the point. I don’t think any of this is “hacking”. I’m just trying to emulate C4 UI commands. C4, Savant, Crestron, URC, RTI, etc all started with emulating IR commands. All systems at one point or another have used undocumented protocols.
If you did not get explicit permission, then reverse engineering is hacking.

The answer is no.
If it were yes, SAVI would work with 3.1.3.
-
It would be easier for you to write a driver and then have the driver talk to whatever you're wanting to control the system.

I'm familiar with this driver, however do I understand correctly that it is only good for controlling a single event? Im trying to communicate with the controller directly without an additional driver, and be able to control any of the devices in composer.
Hmmm, via shell? That's not possible 3.1.1+

I don't have any special knowledge. The 2019 application was for a permissive change. I read the FCC filings.
https://fccid.io/2AKK7-RM633601/Letter/Class-II-Permissive-Change-Letter-4502022
I believe the change was with ram and storage, both of which the FCC wouldn't care about.
Interesting to know about the FCC filing for more bands, must have been a U.S. thing.

Perhaps.
To me it looks like the remote is unchanged from its original form from Neeo with the exception of adding certification for two additional wifi channels. This per FCC filings.
There are pros and cons to the choices of radio support. Since the device is more or less unchanged from its original form I'd gather that software upgrades are possible to make an old Neeo support C4. It's also the reason for no Zigbee.
I read there were enough hardware differences that the original Neeo remote cannot run the C4 software.

I would highly recommend using Composer ME or HE to manage the music in the Control4 environment.
That being said, the EA5 should show up exactly the same as the HC800. It's just a network folder share.

I'm familiar with Bro, that's here too. Have not heard the other ones, so learned something new.

Sick being considered a British thing is interesting. I've heard it in the Western U.S. and pretty sure it originated here. Like dude, gnarly, dope, and others.

Anything missing at triadspeakers.com?

Nope, not supported with Amazon Music. I wish it was possible myself.

Thank you ms, the nk is capable of this option but my programmer did not choose this.
since I dont know how to fix it, if I just hard wire the printer in to the pc I should be able to do it that way right?
is there any down side to doing this? I just have to make sure I keep the pc powered on to print from other devices on the network?
thanks
This is 100% more secure than dropping your WiFi security to support wpa.
It's honestly the best decision.

Since it is not a Triad AMS, I would expect having to follow the same steps listed in the Control4 4k video switch driver. It specifies that silence needs added at the beginning of the audio file to move the audio backwards since it takes time to send each command to the video switch.
All 3rd party matrix switches have a command delay and I could see it scaling badly (why I like the Triad AMS).
To test that theory out and for your own experience, try it with a single room, then slowly add more rooms if it works fine.
-
What matrix switch is handling the volume and switching for all your rooms?

Printers that support WPA are a security risk to your home network.
The first thing a hacker will do is see if the WiFi supports negotiating at WEP or WPA.
For your network security sake, I would consider finding a more modern and secure printer that you like.
-
Printers in general are crap when it comes to WiFi.
Chances are that you do not have your 2.4ghz and 5ghz separated into two different SSIDs.
A lot of printers will only work over 2.4ghz, and some don't even support WPA2...
I would check your printer specs first and then decide to either change the network WiFI config or buy a better printer.

The max version of software that could run on that system is 2.9.1.
I would honestly toss the HC300 and HC1000 and find a local dealer that will sell you and set up at least an EA3.

I have done some programming that syncs the volume and mute states between two rooms, that wasn't too bad, but is there an easier way to do this? The Room Control Driver lets you sync sources between two rooms. Is there a simple way to keep volume synced in the same way?
Not that I know of.
-
You could match the volumes with media scenes or programming, but I don't believe there is a math function in programming that lets you drop a value by a certain amount.
USB Drive - FAT32? Or will exFat work?

That is correct.
Best thing to do is get a NAS rather than use the USB for a usb drive.
