I could have a look at this but I think it could be tricky. One way you could achieve this right now is by adding a delay before executing the announcement in the announcement file created event?
That wouldn't work. It's not an issue fixable by programming.
The only solution is adding silence to the beginning of the file, which honestly only needs done once.
I've used Audacity a few times to make files with empty space at the beginning. Honestly only takes less than 2 minutes to do.

Thanks! As a matter of interest, how is that different from a start delay?
@Shivam Paw - this would be a nice addition to your TTS driver (preferably a variable for the length of the silence, in seconds) as part of the TTS call. This would allow one to change the “length of silence” depending on what zone group one plays the announcement to.
Start delay only delays the start of the announcement sequence.
The delay set to allow devices to switch inputs, unmute, set volume, and whatever else is baked in and cannot be changed. If you have announcements cutting off the beginning of the file, it means you have too many zones for the baked in delay and will need to add silence at the beginning of the announcement.
Aside from utilizing rooms with AVRs that have a long power on delay, the start delay only needs to be about 2000ms, single room announcements could have a start delay of 500ms.

This, plus delays in zones being ready increased noticeably between 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 and were no better in 3.2.1 (I have not tested this in 3.2.2). I only really noticed this when playing to 4 or more zones... I had to recalibrate (extend) my start delays across all my Announcements at both my homes to avoid cutting off the beginning of an announcement when I upgraded to 3.1.3. Quite irritating for an announcement playing over a large number of zones (say 10 plus) where I was changing delay times from 8 or 9 seconds to 15 seconds...
Adding silence to the beginning of your announcement audio file might help much more than extending the start delay.

What does OvRC pro native to your controller mean? Does that benefit a homeowner/end user in any meaningful way?
Not really, but it benefits the dealer a lot. OvrC Home is available, but has limited functionality.

The 13mb currently used for Metadata?
Sure, go to your USBs on that same page and then delete the songs, make sure you only delete them from the library and not the USB as well if you still want them on the USB.
If you mean the 'All Data' portion, you cannot reduce that as that also includes the OS files.

That is the storage available on the controller and is used for storing album art and track info.
You should not be able to max that out unless you have a huge amount of local music.

The My Movies feature requires a media player that is no longer sold.
My Movies does not allow videos played on a controller or touchscreen, the UIs are only used to make a selection to play on the media player.
There is a Plex driver that will make selections from your plex server and play them on a plex capable device.

Yes, that's all possible to be managed by the primary user as well. Check out customer.control4.com.
My wife uses her own email to connect to our system.

It depends. Did the PDU or Wattbox (if you have one) power cycle it? Is it scheduled?
Could also be from OvrC.

If it is a sonos amp, then a matrix switch should work fine and that is supported. I had assumed the Sonos speaker was a play 5 or something portable. Sonos Amps are treated similarly to other smart amplifiers.
-
1) That sample rate is a digital format. RCA is analog, so the controller's DAC would convert it.
2) Need the Sonos Global Line In driver and connect the EA to that, but it is not a supported/recommended config from C4.

I would check the printer's manual and ensure it supports WPA2.
If it does, then you'll need to tinker with the fast roaming settings and other advanced settings on the AP.
-
Simple and bad passwords on WPA2 can be cracked in less than 5 minutes.
-
It would take less than 30 seconds to backdoor a hidden open network.
Some printers need advanced settings on APs shut off, so I honestly wasn't kidding at buying a printer that supports modern WiFi standards.
I bought one for around $350 to make sure it supported 5ghz and proper encryption.

I might be wrong about this because I never ever use my music but im pretty sure you can download Composer ME (Media Edition) for free to do the scan yourself. No dealer involved.
ME was discontinued 3.1.1+.
It would be a solution for older versions.
-
When a USB is plugged in, it creates a driver. It then needs to be scanned. You can scan it with Composer HE or Pro.

I’m not liking that the firmware update switched it to an OvrC Pro Hub. Now I can’t access the regular functionality of an NK-1 to access, setup and control my Pakedge AP’s. And I can’t access the AP’s directly because they say controlled by the NK-1. Is there a way to downgrade it back to the previous NK-1
The expectation is that the APs are updated too and the entire configuration is done via OvrC.
Tech notes on release stated no rollbacks.

Which router?
I believe the routers retain their password.

The NK-1 with the new firmware was turned into an OvrC hub.

Yes. ovrc/ovrc

Can a dealer do this ?
Has I will need to advise our security team about this - Long Story
If the dealer manages the network, yes, the dealer can create a vlan and isolate the Control4 system.
If not, the dealer needs to work with whoever manages the network to isolate the system.
OS3.2.2

Unfortunately no. The system is limited to one announcement at a time and has to completely finish the first to start the second and includes about a 5 to 6 second delay between announcements. A second announcement executed while another is going will be queued. If the same announcement is executed while it is already executing, the 2nd execution is ignored.
