  1. I have not yet but I am really curious on how it works, as I have a client just a week ago asking to integrate there pool with c4. Can you let us know how it went and how the integration went. User/customer experience, was it easier to add to c4.... you know, the usual things. Thank you in advance Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  2. Lol. Yea sorry about that :-) its that experimental control 5, I was not supposed to talk about it because ita top secret. The new c5 is so top secret that control4 and snapav don't even know about it :-). But yes I suck at typing on my phone lol Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  3. I forgot to mention that clare controls has an awesome window door sensors that has grass break detection built in, so every window and door will alao.be protected from glass break. No more glass break detectors on the wall that only cover some windows. Now have every window and door covered with no extra sensors . Yes its a wireless sensor, but they also have a duel sensor that you can use wireless or wired. So if you have a wired system in place then you can use a 8 or 16 zone wired to wireless translator modular or even replace the sensors with wired new ones, recessed in the window or door or mounted on the frame. Basically clare controls made is supper easy for us integrators to get into the alarm business. They even host the mid point between the clients location alarm and the monitoring company. Plus they work with so many different monitoring companies. (I use C.O.P.S personally) and your alarm client never has to know because when the alarm monitoring company calls. They say they Re from "your company name" . Just like most alarm companies, they all use 3rd party monitoring services. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  4. Have you looked at clare controls yet? They are sold by snapav and it is totally integratable with c4. It auto discovers and it literally take 2 min to integrate it into c4. There clareone panel is truly amazing. You Have to be a clare controls dealer but if your a c5 dealer then you will have no trouble The first picture is clare alarm integrated into c4 and interacting with it on a 7" c4 touch screen. The second is there new video doorbell and the last 2 are of the clareone panel. https://www.clarecontrols.com/ Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  5. If the dimmer is an led dimmer then yes, every led dimmer has this adjustment on them Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  6. ok so on the front of the led dimmer (Take the cover plate off) and you will see a little dial, or adjuster. Put the dimmer in its lowest potion and then use that dial or adjuster until the lights go off. Try that and see if that works
  7. https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=&fq=manufacturer%3A%22Denon%22&fq=controlMethod%3A%22ir%22 Go to this link and use the denon avr 788. That one will work. Denon, like most manufacturers, use the same ir codes thought most of there models. They only change them for extra options. This one should have everything you probably need, but if it does not then you can always use this driver and modify it in drive works. I am in the process of learning how to do that now. Control4 has free on line training for there drive works and Lua editors. So you can find a driver that is close and works most of the unit and then edit it to add commands and or take away commands. You could also make your own driver from ground up using c4's drive works program. Denon has all the control protocol documents on line. If None of those options work and you don't mind waiting 2 days or so, Then I can try to make you a driver if you like. No charge of course as I am just learning. But it would give me an opportunity to try what I am learning Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  8. What protocol? Ip or ir Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  9. I was amazed to say the least!! you should have seen my face, when I gently bent the remote back straight and now it looks like nothing even happened to it lol. I am wondering If my dog might have jumped on the bed and bent it? because both my wife and daughter really do swear they had nothing to do with it and did not even use that remote while I was gone. Plus they weren't even in the bedroom. Either way; neo is definitely built Rock solid and pretty crappy all at the same time, if that makes any sense . For it to be able to bend so easily like it did and then bent it back with ease was not good at all. But then again, for it to be able to bend, then bend back, still work amd actually look like nothing even happend is a testament to the remote itself :-) So you can see the remote is rock solid And I would put it Up against any other remote on the market today. Does it have its flaws? Well of course but thwy are always making improvements. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  10. Agree totally. The composer homeowner edition is ok but is lacking so much . Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  11. Me too, also glad that I could bend it back lol. And of course no one knows who did it... went to work this morning and it was straight, come home and grabbed the remote and it was the first thing I noticed. My wife and daughter where the only 2 in the house but neither of them did it or noticed it. It's a miracle, the neo ghost did it. Lol Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  12. The only way to get a dealer account is if you have a licenced low voltage or electrical business and then you have to take the 4 day class and get certified.. If you looking to just get the composer program because you have C4 system in your home then you can talk to a local dealer and purchase the composer he. It the homeowner edition. Or you can even hook up with a dealer on this site and they can sell you the composer HE remotely. But the only way to get the full composer pro is by being an actual dealer and there's a lot that goes into being a dealer and then you'll have a certificate like this Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks, your definitely right. Just bent it back a little and it is almost normal again. Weird thing is that there are no creases in the metal or any sign of it being bent. But who knows. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  14. Yes , a leviton midway deco plate. The only draw back is that they are not screwless But you can go to any home depot and pick them up. They have the midway and even over sized ones Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  15. Ok so I don't know if I am going crazy or if my wife or daughter somehow bent the neo remote... I went onto c4 dealer site and tried to look at the profile for the remote, but it is unclear. I am going to post a couple of pictures here and if anyone can tell me foe certain if it has been bent or if they come like this for easier use in your hand. The funny thing is that wr have had the remote for 2 months and I have also sold 4 of them already but never really noticed So what do you all think? Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  16. Awesome, thank you very much for all your advice and taking the time to answer my questions. I truly do appreciate it:-) Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  17. So then my assumption is right? To get all 3 streams, you must have all 3 plugged into the multi zone amp. But the c4 amp does not have a spot to plug in an hdmi as an input. So then how do you get the 3rd stream if it is Already plugged into a avr ? Can I use my avr as a source as it also has heos Built-in and maybe use zone 2 or zone 3 has a preamp to the C4 amp? Or just deal with only having 2 streams at the moment until I buy a heos link or even better a heos super link (5 streams ) [emoji2] Sorry if I sound like a newbie or worse... a home owner trying to cut out the installer and do it themselves... I hate those lol. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  18. So this is probably a stupid beginners question but for some reason I can't comprehend this theory. The EA3 has 3 audio streams. 1 is the digital coax out, 1 is the 3.5 stereo audio out and 1 is the hdmi. So if I have a multi zone c4 amp and let's say my daughter wants to stream something in her room, while my wife in the kitchen and then myself in the garage and the hdmi out is already plugged into the avr for on screen controls on the family room TV. Then I have the digital coax out into the c4 amp. Do I then also plug a 3.5 stereo cord from thw ea3 to the c4 amp? And if so what about the 3rd stream? Or can all 3 streams go through 1 digital coax cord? For some reason I just don't get it lol. Any help would be very much appreciated :-) Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  19. These are the 3 I meant. Sorry about that. I doubled one of them Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  20. So I finished 3 out of the 4 certifications that control4 has to offer. 1 more to go.. the networking one. Just need to save up some money for that one Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  21. That is great news. Thank you very much. I picked up 4 Aladdin connect kits from my local home depot for $29 each. Before tax Thank you again for your help Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  22. Can it be integrated into C4? Basically I want to be able to control it from the app or a touch screen or even program one of the multi switches also will it show up On a touch screen and show its open or close? Tank you in advance for the answers to the questions I really do appreciate it Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  23. Has anyone tried the Aladdin garage door connect? I heard that there are drivers for it for c4 and that it does work but I have not seen anything on taptalk about it. Can anyone help? Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  24. I agree. I am an electrical contractor but I also have been in the home automation game for a couple of years now and started small with the "home owner" stuff like wink and smart things. Then went to Clare controls and then URC total control and finally control4. I think if I did not have that experience with the other systems and a real love for home automation, I would be lost too. I did the work first and did all the on line stuff first. The guys that just jumo right in, are only hurting themselves and the others in the class Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  25. Do the landscape lights work off of a transformer that then plugs into a 120 volt outlet? If so you can use a c4 plug in modular. One of the dimmable ones Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
