  1. Thanks @Cyknight. To make sure I got it right, are you recommending setting: Audio endpoint 1 - receiver Audio volume 1 - Sonos Audio endpoint 2 - receiver Audio volume 2 - receiver I tried this, but it’s controlling the Sonos volume even when the receiver is playing audio sources that aren’t Sonos.
  2. My receiver is an Onkyo with the “Works with Sonos” feature. So Sonos turns on the receiver, sets it to the right input, and fixes the receiver’s volume to a preset value. The only thing it doesn’t do is to turn off the receiver when I stop playing Sonos. I’ve been trying this, but the problem is that when I’m watching something and turn on Sonos, C4 thinks that both Watch and Listen are on, since they’re completely different endpoints. I’ve been adding some programming to take care of this, but it’s leading to way too many conditions as new situations have been showing up. It’s feeling way too complex. My only concern with using C4 for volume is that I have to use C4 for volume and since C4’s Sonos integration is very limited, I have to keep switching apps. I don’t have anything being fed into Sonos fortunately. The volume part is already fixed thanks to my receiver’s “Works with Sonos” integration. Even if I try to change the volume on the receiver when on the input used by Sonos, it doesn’t do anything and displays the message “Sonos preset volume”. The only challenge has been to tell C4 to control and use the status of the Sonos volume instead of the receiver’s only when on Sonos.
  3. @sonic30101 The receiver is being set to a fixed volume on the input that the Sonos is connected to. That way the Sonos volume can be controlled through both C4 and the Sonos app. @cshepard the problem I’m facing is that it’s always taking audio endpoint 1, whether or not I’m playing Sonos or a different source. I assume that’s because Sonos connects to the same receiver as the other sources. Is there a way to take care of this? All I need is the audio endpoint volume to be Sonos while playing the Sonos and the receiver for all other sources. The audio endpoint is the receiver for all sources including Sonos. You’re right that I want to stay in the Sonos app. But I don't need to use the C4 app at all if I don’t want to. Whenever Sonos is played from the Sonos app, C4 detects that it’s playing and turns on listen (and controls the receiver as well). So I have the option to swap between C4 and the Sonos app at any time in the middle of an audio session. The main reason for this is the limited Sonos functionality available through the C4 app.
  4. Hi. I have a Sonos Port connected to an AV receiver. What I’m ideally looking to do when selecting any source under “Listen” is: 1. When listening to Sonos, audio endpoint is the receiver and audio endpoint volume is the Sonos. The volume control should be the Sonos volume. 2. When listening to any other audio source, both the audio endpoint and audio endpoint volume are the receiver. The volume control should be the receiver. Can I make use of audio endpoint 2 to achieve this? If not, is there any other way?
  5. @South Africa C4 user sure, please let me know what happens when you have access to the LG TV again. I have a Grohe Sense, which is similar to the Moen Flo. Do you know if there's a way to integrate the Grohe Sense into Control4? @lippavisual got it. Thanks!
  6. I've attached it. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed.
  7. Thanks @lippavisual. This worked like a charm! I have 2 TVs that had the same problem. I have a total of 1 EA3 and 2 EA1's. I used the contact input on my EA3 for one TV. For the second TV, can I use any connection on my controllers, or is the Z2IO the only option?
  8. Thanks @lippavisual. I’m going to try that. I have one EA3 and 2 EA1s. Does this mean I can use this approach for only 1 TV, without having to buy the Z2IO?
  9. We realized the Control4 driver doesn't work on any event triggered by another source. For example, any programming on the TV's input changing doesn't execute if the input is changed using the TV's remote. Doesn't seem to be on issue with the power on event alone. Is there any chance you would be able to try if the Annex4 driver responds to any other event other than power on? How do you detect if your main water supply has been interrupted? The text to speech driver looks cool! I'll check that out.
  10. @South Africa C4 user thank you. I hope it's able to work for my use case. What kind of Toast Messages have you programmed? I'm just curious to know the kind of use cases it would be most valuable in.
  11. I am using the Control4 LG driver with a 2019 LG TV. Everything works fine except for the execution of any programming on the event "TV power on" - it just never seems to run. Does this work on the LG Annex4 driver? Are there any other benefits of using the Annex4 driver compared to the Control4 driver? Thanks for your inputs!
  12. @Jeff W thanks for trying that out so quick. That’s the reason I was hoping to create an event using the TV driver. Every time the TV powers on, if the room is off, turn on the room to the TV as the video source. But the event of the TV powering on doesn’t seem to get detected. No programming on this event ever executes. The problem without this is that turning off the TV is a 2 step process once I airplay to the TV. I have to first turn on the TV in C4 (even though it’s already on), and then turn the room off.
  13. @cshepard that was already being done, but there was no delay. We added the delay as well now. Even after adding the delay, it’s the same problem though. The TV controls don’t automatically pop up. So say I go to watch and click on my Fire TV, I see the controls on the screen of my phone immediately. But in this case when I go to watch and choose Portal TV, nothing pops up. Only after I click back and go out of watch, I can see the TV controls.
  14. Thanks @South Africa C4 user. I’m using the official Control4 driver (https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=lg+86sm9400pta&fq=primaryProxy%3A"tv"&fq=controlMethod%3A"ip"). It says the creator is Control4. Would you recommend the Annex4 driver instead? Thanks @Jeff W. I’m trying to turn the room on based on detection of the TV turning on from places triggered outside of C4. So if I AirPlay to the TV directly using my iPhone, I want C4 to detect this, and show that there’s an active session going on. I assume that the room control driver would need C4 to have already detected that the room is on. Am I right in this assumption?
  15. I’m trying to program a few actions when an LG TV powers on or powers off. The TV is being controlled by IP. It doesn’t seem like Control4 is able to detect the TV actually powering on or off, because none of the programming actually executes when these events happen. Has anyone else had trouble with this?
  16. Sorry, I’m not sure I completely understood you. With the same driver you had a delay with Google TV, but with Fire TV there was no delay?
  17. Thanks for the reply @sonic30101. I'm not using the built in services at all. The 2 TV's are zone 1 and zone 2 of the same AV receiver, and only use sources connected to the receiver. I hope this means I have a solution. I'm not sure I know what left sources and right sources are. Can you explain that a bit more?
  18. I have 2 TVs in a bedroom. Ideally, I would have 2 "Watch" icons, one for each TV. I don't think that's possible though. What's the best way to handle the navigation of this? Thanks for your inputs!
  19. Isn’t that the driver that needs debug mode on the Fire TV to be enabled, and that has a large delay between a command from C4 to it reflecting on the device? Or am I mixing it up with some other driver?
  20. Thanks @cshepard, I’ll try that. But if that’s done, would it automatically show the TV controls on the screen or would I need to go to active media sessions and select the TV before I control it?
  21. Thanks. I need the navigation when I switch to this source to control my TV via IP (the direction pad, back, and play), which in turn controls the portal via HDMI-CEC. Would using the no source HDMI driver be able to do this?
  22. I’m trying to integrate Facebook’s portal TV into a C4 system. It’s connected to an LG TV through HDMI and gets controlled by HDMI-CEC. The TV is integrated with C4 through IP control. All I need is to add a source under watch that turns on the TV and switches it to a specific HDMI input. I already have my LG TV under watch, but that doesn’t switch the HDMI input. If I add any other device under watch it won’t control the TV, but rather tries to control the device itself (but all I need is to control the TV to control the device). How can I take care of this? Thank you for your inputs!
