  1. I would suggest you go to the Zidoo Forum (http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php) or even AVSForums (https://www.avsforum.com/threads/zidoo-2023-rtd1619bpd-z9x-pro-z20-pro-z2000-pro-z2600-uhd5000-thread.3276599/page-28#post-62874660) for Zidoo related questions that are not related to C4 and Zidoo specifically. However, when you are done scanning your movies, there is a folder on the Home Page called "Unmatched." It will contain all your unmatched movies. Do a search here with fewer words in the title and all the similar options will appear. Chose the one that is correct and the Zidoo will do the rest. If you have found the Unmatched folder, and still cannot get some movies to be identified, I suggest joining the Zidoo Forum I linked above and asking there. People will know tricks for improving the search. I know with Zappiti, you could use the "official" code number for the movie from IMDB, but I am not sure that works with Zidoo.
  2. Best thing I did was getting the Room Control Drivers and deleting all Media Scenes. the Room Control Drive is 1000% better.
  3. I think I am getting it... I thought the part about seeing them "at the same time" meant literally at the same time, like using two different screens (e.g., TVs) as opposed to being both in the Room on the app or remote at the same time.
  4. Just figured out the .rar is a zipped file.
  5. That is strange. The file that downloaded does not have the typical suffix for a C4 driver. I have no idea what a ".rar" while is. I would like to have WOL access. I will make sure to give that "quirky workaround" to my dealer. I remember you mentioned it before, but hadn't wrapped my head around it until I encountered the problem myself. Thanks!!!
  6. I do have an analog volume control on the patio, assuming all of the other volume controls are high enough, it can make the final adjustments. Unfortunately, the wiring set-up doesn't make it easy to access amp directly, unless I make that a permanent plan and run the Cat6 through the attic to the location of the outdoor amp. It is convoluted, but right now, the HDMI to LAN extender extracts the analog audio, which goes into the EA-3, all in the living room. Then the EA-3 outputs audio over Cat6/baluns to the Parasound amp in the master bedroom closet (where I have the Episode Reference and Parasound amps).
  7. Thank you. I really want the second Episode Response, but can grab a decent preamp for $100 that would allow me to switch between the EA-3 and the HDM audio extractor. I just don't know if any or all of these options will keep the audio and video in sync.
  8. Thanks! I am curious about two things. First, I sent my dealer the C4 driver from Zidoo directly. It shows it is version 20. However, I have been messaging with someone over on AVSForums who showed me that his version is 23. Do I need my dealer to update the driver? Or do I need to get it from somewhere else to get the latest one? Also, when my dealer installed the driver, he was on his way out of town, and graciously did it late at night before he left the next morning. I noticed that the Zidoo Media Player and "My Movies" were added to the room, but the latter is empty. Your screenshot above shows "Database" in addition to the media player. Where did you get it that? I know my dealer said that there was a server also in the driver, but that it only seemed to show up if he made the connections to it instead of the player. When he gets back, I am sure we can tackle this issue, but thought maybe you had some insights that will speed up the process for him. Thanks again!!
  9. It is a Parasound Zamp V.3. I use an Episode Response 8 zone for the rest of the house, but power the two zones in the backyard with two Parasound amps. My eventual goal is to add an Episode Reference 4 zone amp to take over the backyard zones and have two extra zones.
  10. Hello all, I am returning to this topic after a failure of my most recent plan. Simply, as stated in the first post, I am trying to coordinate audio and video for outdoor movies. I have two speakers already on my patio and want to use them for movies I play outside. I use an Apple TV 4K as the source. Originally, my plan was to send the audio from the ATV using Sharebridge to the EA-3 that is the source of music for the patio. However, as I said above, Sharebridge will receive audio from my iPhone but not the ATV. I can find no explanation for it. I then bought an external Airplay receiver but never tried it out and sent it back, as I came up with a different plan. The plan I tried last night was this... I used a HDMI over LAN extender from the ATV in my living room to the backyard for video. The particular HDMI extender device I bought has as an audio extractor at the source device (unlike most, which have the audio extractor at the end device). I then connected the audio out on the extender to the input of the EA-3. As predicted by @chopedogg88, the audio delay was horrible. The audio was a second or two behind the video. It was unwatchable. I have several questions: 1. Can anyone offer any insights why Sharebridge is not working for the ATV but is fine for the iPhone. I am able to chose the Sharebridge/Airplay on the ATV but no audio comes through. 2. If I bought another external Airplay 2 receiver and plug it into the EA-3, will it have the same audio delay as the audio extractor did? The ATV has a built in audio/video sync feature, that allows you to use your iPhone to calibrate the audio/video, but it is only for wireless audio, so it didn't work with my setup last night. However, I wonder if it would work with an external Airplay 2 receiver. 3. Although it is highly unlikely, does anyone know of a way to delay the video (instead of delaying the audio)? 4. The other option I have considered is extracting the audio from the extender and then connecting it through some switch box or preamp to the amp that powers the patio speakers by passing the EA-3. I am honestly thinking this is the best solution, but will require I setup a different ATV near the amp instead of using the living room ATV. I have found this preamp (https://www.crutchfield.com/p_452PRE1/OSD-Pre-1.html). I could use the EA-3 as one input and the HDMI extender's audio extractor as the second and then just manually switch to the latter when playing an outdoor movie. If all else fails, I have thought of just buying a portable Airplay 2 speaker and not using my patio speakers for movies. However, I really like the patio speakers and they are located perfectly for movies. Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if you can only comment on one or two of the above questions. Thanks everyone!
  11. Thanks again for the input. And I assume the driver you played with is IP, right? I would assume it would have to be to include the collection information.
  12. I did not realize the two HDMI outputs were both meant for video connections in the C4 driver. That is weird. I am sure my dealer will be able to figure it out. In your experience, while not the greatest, is the Zidoo driver stable? Thanks again!!
  13. Thank you!! That is extremely helpful. I wonder if the two HDMI outputs are because some models, like the UHD5000, have separate audio and video HDMI outputs. That would make sense. I know not all the Zidoo devices have two but some do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Please let me know how it all works for you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I started a new thread about the C4 driver for Zidoo. Would love your input.
  16. I am a Zappiti user, who has loved Chowmain's C4 driver, but am coming to terms with reality that the future for Zappiti is bleak (but not all hope is lost). I am looking to switch to the Zidoo UHD5000 but am most concerned about its Control4 driver and would love to get feedback from anyone here who has used it. From the link on Zidoo, it appears rather impressive, including displaying the movie collection on the C4 navigator, but I am hoping for more specific feedback. I know many will suggest K-Scape, and I do believe it is the optimum choice, but there are other things I would much rather put that much money into. Thank you.
  17. The Chowmain driver was the sole reason I went with Zappiti over Zidoo 11 months ago. I had been using an HTPC with MadVR, but when I bought a Lumagen, I decided the hassle of using an HTPC (especially with C4) was not worth it, hence the Zappiti. While I am sure the Zidoo drive for C4 will get the job done, I am sad to not use the Chowmain one.
  18. This is a link to the documentation from Zidoo about their Control4 driver. I am not sure, but there may be one driver that is available through C4 and one from Zidoo. I am pretty sure the Zidoo one is IP given the control it is showing. https://apidl.zidoo.tv/other/ZidooPlayer_en.pdf Here is the link to the Zidoo C4 driver on Zidoo's website: https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/control4.html Here is the driver from C4, which is also IP: https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=Zidoo
  19. Earlier today, I was having no problems with HE. Now, for the past hour or so, it is running very slow, doesn't always connect, and sometimes closes out. I have rebooted the Core3 and started the computer over. I am running the latest version of HE (3.4.0.681769). Any ideas of what to try next? Thanks. Update - All fixed. I tried HE on a second computer that is has a wired ethernet connection and HE worked perfect. I then hooked my original computer up to a wired ethernet and it worked too. I then rebooted the access point and now HE works fine with wifi. For others that run into similar problems, I kept getting the message pop up each time I opened HE. However, I know I had an internet connection and the firewall allowed for HE. But again, rebooting the router worked. http://content.invisioncic.com/r242699/monthly_2023_09/IMG_1930.thumb.jpg.0b95fce25be67a2b1054f812b1c29c39.jpg
  20. I am not sure if he is checking the forum today, but you could try messaging @chopedogg88. He is very responsive, even on weekends.
  21. I have been using some Kasa outlets the past few months and just added one of their power strips. So far, no drops. They are extremely easy to add in HE with the paid driver. I am very impressed with them and will be switching out some Lutron dimmers for Kasa outlet because they are smaller and I don't need the dimmer feature.
  22. You can always "favorite" the mini drivers to the same level as "Listen" and "Watch" if that helps.
  23. Maybe using the external Airplay receiver instead of Sharebridge will end up being a blessing in disguise.
  24. I have actually not been able to set up the outdoor projector and test everything out. Since it is outdoor movies, I am not going for perfection, but if it is too bad, I will have to rethink my setup.
  25. As an update, I added a Belkin SoundForm Connect to the analog input on the EA-3. I was then able to stream audio from the AppleTV over AirPlay. I do not know why the external receiver worked while Sharebridge on the EA-3 did not.
