  1. Yes, you need to enable "HDMI Bypass and IP" if you want to do anything over IP (like the web interface) while it is in standby. I can't see how this setting would impact music from your EA-3. For IP use, it needs to be set to "On." That way, Control4 can turn the Arcam on.
  2. Are you pressing "Amp" on the remote prior to pressing the power button? The Arcam isn't great about finding new updates. You really need to do any updates with a USB stick and not online. Arcam recommends using no bigger than an 8GB stick for the update. Check your firmware. Your problems could be related to 1.60.
  3. I finally changed from Chamberlin MyQ to Genie Aladdin today, primarily to get C4 integration, but also had trouble with the Chamberlin and HomeLink. Everything is fine between Aladdin Connect and my Control4 system, but I have a dumb question. The garage door's name is coming up as "Garage Door - Garage Door" in the C4 diver and app. It isn't horrible but kinda looks dumb in the app. I changed the door name to "Main" in the Aladdin app and had the driver search again. The name change was reflected in the driver properties but still showing as "Garage Door - Garage Door" in the C4 app. Any way to just get it to be called "Garage Door" or "Garage Door - Main"?
  4. FYI - I have an AV40 using C4 and IP and installed the latest firmware (1.60) when it came out from Arcam. However, it created havoc with Control4. It kept turning the display on inappropriately and also had trouble changing inputs. Yet, when I unplugged the LAN cable from the AV40, the problems stopped. I worked with Arcam for weeks and finally downgraded to the prior AV40 firmware (1.54). The problem stopped instantly. Go ahead and try 1.60, but if you have any problems, I can send you the older firmware.
  5. What is the free option? I found Chowmain's Open Weather Agent for a fee but am curious about the free option.
  6. I came across the same thing. If you have MQA active in the Tidal driver, the Digital Media driver does not let you change the Max Quality. And yes, since the Active Quality is the quality you want, all is fine.
  7. What did you end up using? I think this is a great idea. We have four shades that I would like to set up to not open if, say, the day high temp will be over 90 degrees.
  8. Thank you for your feedback. I set up the Media Scenes, using three buttons in the Pico remote to each trigger one scene and then play my wife’s playlist, and the fourth button to shut off all scenes/rooms. Honestly, it worked flawlessly. I was shocked how easily it worked. I was expecting to spend awhile tinkering to get it right, but it couldn’t have worked better. As for the “last selected room” versus a chosen room, can you explain exactly what this means? It is creating the main room that will control the other rooms? I am so happy with Media Scenes that I have bought a second four button Pico (which aren’t cheap) for the back of the house. But I would love to know any limitations of Media Scenes that I may encounter. Thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I just discovered Media Scenes last night, and my research of the forum found older negative comments, but it sounds like they were updated with OS3. I am thinking they are good for my purpose, but thought I would check here. I also read about the Room Control Driver, but don't have it in my system and not sure I understand it. My wife likes to turn on music in two or three certain rooms at a time. I ordered a Lutron 4 button Pico Remote. I was thinking I could program each button to activate a different Media Scene and start her Tidal playlist. Three buttons could be used for three different Media Scenes (i.e., room combinations), and maybe the fourth button to turn them all off. Then, I also have a Pico Audio remote for volume, next, play, and pause. From my reading, those controls will work for all the rooms active in the Media Scene. Does this all sound correct, or I am missing something? Lastly, when programing the Media Scenes to activate, what is meant by "Based on... Last Seleted Room" versus selecting an individual room from the list?
  10. The digital output works fine when the two analog paths are eliminated. And the digital output works fine when I have three different audio streams coming from the Core3. @chopedogg88 posted above that he added his generic DAC driver in the path. Thanks for the thoughts!
  11. In another thread on music integration with C4, there has been a lot of mention of Sonos. I am currently using C4 for whole house music with a traditional matrix/amp. But I have a Sonos in the garage that we sometimes use for music when doing a garage clean-up (something that unfortunately is needed quite often). How well does Sonos play with C4? Could the Sonos be added for the music in the garage alongside the music system in the rest of the house?
  12. Because of another recent thermostat thread, I switched from Nest to Ecobee and so far have been very happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks. That makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I am using Apple CarPlay, but thanks for the heads up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I was going to ask how to turn the Kasa outlets into lights in HE so they would show up in the C4 app, but figured that out. Now I am wondering if there is a way to leave a plug as an outlet but still have it show up in the app, or must it become a light to be used in the app? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Having now used the integrated Tidal for about a week, I regret not moving over from Apple Music a lot earlier. Even my wife has commented of the easiness of the integrated music service and how she prefers it over the old way. All the time spent moving playlists was totally worth it. Even though I get Apple Music for free through Verizon, I have no regrets about paying for Tidal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The AV path setter driver was tried today with no success. If anyone else has any thoughts as to why the Core3 is defaulting to the analog outputs over the digital, please chime in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for weighing in. I was hoping to hear your input. As @chopedogg88 asked above, would the AV Path Setter driver be a solution for this issue? I honestly don't care as much about the "why" if we can find a fix!! Thanks again.
  19. Reboot did not help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for weighing in! I can try a reboot now and see if that works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. As I responded above, only the digital output goes to the DAC, so I am not sure I follow why the DAC would need to know which is the correct path. But again, I just may not be understanding something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I am not sure I understand what you mean, but the two analog outputs from the Core3 go directly to the matrix amp, while the digital output passes through the DAC. But again, I may not be following you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Earlier in the thread, it was mentioned that C4 defaults to HDMI, then digital, then analog for audio output. My Core3 is set up with the two analog and one digital outputs but is defaulting to the two analogs first and then the digital as the third choice. Since I added an MQA DAC, I would really like the digital to be the first choice. Any ideas how to accomplish this and/or why the Core3 is going analog first? And from I can tell, it is defaulting to Analog 2 first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
