AllenB
I have several STBs and would like to be able to visually differentiate them by changing their icon from the generic STB provided to one assigned by me. Is this possible? If not, how do I submit this to C4 as a request?
0 thegreatheed
There are instructions for a dealer to create drivers with custom icons on the Knowledgebase. KB 3909
0 Matt Lowe
i think anyone can do the custom icons just have to be able to edit the .c4z file.

Yeah, but if he's going to creating multiple drivers with multiple icons, those new drivers will have to be added to the project, which requires Pro. 0 AllenB
That's pretty ridiculous that you have to have Pro to change an Icon. Is there a way to post this as a suggestion to C4?
0 msgreenf
You can suggest it to Control4 but the way icons are loaded by a proxy it doesn't seem likely that it would be an easy change to expose to users
0 AllenB
So how do I get this to C4? The "Contact Us" on their website leads to a KB. Do they read this forum or is there another method? Loading an icon via proxy doesn't make sense to me. I can change an icon, as a user, in Windows and Android (I assume the same for IOS). Adding drivers into the system requires Composer Pro. 37 minutes ago, AllenB said: So how do I get this to C4? The "Contact Us" on their website leads to a KB. Considering it's pushing out the information to interfaces on touch screens, remotes, apps, and TVs (all different systems with different resolutions and capabilities), it's nice that it has the ability to change an icon, at all, imo. 0 AllenB
Hi thegreatheed, Maybe I am going to the wrong website but when I go to control4.com and scroll to the bottom to "Contact us" it goes to a "We're Listening" with a drop down list. While I agree that it provides a form, depending on the selection, other vendors (not necessarily home automation) have a dedicated suggestion portal. I am just trying to determine the best way to submit constructive suggestions for consideration. I understand that it isn't Windows or Android but a proprietary operating system. I also am not trying to be critical or adversarial in any way but helpful, if I can. I used to have a system from a competitor and the service was terrible. I really like my Control4 system and my installer. I also understand that my installer wants to be an installer and not a company that tweeks the graphics on a remote, etc. This is what makes C4 very likable for me with the ability to have Composer HE. As a newbie to the platform I am learning and discovering and where I feel I can be helpful with some suggestions to help further the greatness of this platform I would like to do so in a respectful manner to my fellow users as well as the dealers. For all my fellow C4 forum members, please excuse me if I tend to be rather forward at times, it's just my character. My intent is to learn, share and contribute as best I can. Best regards to all! And it breaks upgrade paths
