Helena
So how do you add the stations to C4?
Cyknight
So how do you add the stations to C4?System has to be ... hmm think it was from 2.0 on. From there, internet radio has to be added via composer - same as for instance a cable network or FM radio. From there it works similar to all media except that you're using URLsDo take care to get correct streams: many station's webpages for instance open up a pop-up player. Using that sort of URL can cause the system to freeze or reboot.

CFUG
This is a starter doc from C4-http://www.control4.com/documentation/Composer_HE_User_Guide/Setting_Up_an_Internet_Radio_Station.htmThis is a sample of the format (courtesy of Greenwave)-http://76.73.4.30:80-or-scfire-dtc-aa03.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1010
CFUG
One word of advice, seek out only mp3 stations. No others will play properly with Control4.
Helena
Sorry, but I still don't get how I find the url for the stream... The documentation says "Channel: Add the URL for the channel. Note: Locate the URL of the MP3 stream that starts with http://... Instructions about how to do that are outside the scope of this document, but your Dealer should be able to help you set some up for you."If I for example go to http://www.reciva.com, I find stations that I like. How do I know the url?
CFUG
I went on your link and grabbed the 100Hitz station under Contempo genre. This is what I snagged-http://173.244.215.162:8280/listen.pls And that is what you enter in the CHANNEL box. I'm playing it right now...
cashmoney
That will not always work, per their own FAQ. They state that their database was not designed to pull url's for listening outside of their software website.http://reciva-users.wikispot.org/websitelistening
RyanE
Of course they're going to say that. The Internet Radio stations they show are not their own stations. They're out of their control. The links may change by the provider, although I don't think it's all that often. One of the services Reciva and others (like Grace) provide is keeping those links up to date.RyanE
CFUG
That will not always work, per their own FAQ. They state that their database was not designed to pull url's for listening outside of their software website.http://reciva-users.wikispot.org/websitelisteningI really have no idea nor do I care. I simply pulled-down a url, copy & pasted into Composer and hit play. 95% of the stations pre-loaded into Greenwave app are dead now...Additionally, if OP can't figure this out by now, I strongly suggest having a dealer set-up a number of stations for you. Tokead
OK, here's my question. I went to this site, like many others, and I pulled up the URL(s) like soFile1=http://2513.live.streamtheworld.com:80/CFOXFM_SCFile2=http://2513.live.streamtheworld.com:3690/CFOXFM_SCFile3=http://2513.live.streamtheworld.com:443/CFOXFM_SCTitle1=CFOXFM_SCTitle2=CFOXFM_SC-BakLength1=-1NumberOfEntries=3Version=2File1=http://2473.live.streamtheworld.com:80/CFBTFM_SCFile2=http://2473.live.streamtheworld.com:3690/CFBTFM_SCFile3=http://2473.live.streamtheworld.com:443/CFBTFM_SCTitle1=CFBTFM_SCTitle2=CFBTFM_SC-BakLength1=-1NumberOfEntries=3Version=2Which stream do I copy into HE for each station? It's been hit and miss for me.PS. None played using VLC but it worked in Itunes. I've tried in HE with no luckTxToke
CFUG
Oh, and speaking of GreenWave, their website apparently contains malware...
