wiley
Just upgraded to C4 OS 2.7.1 and also set up vpn access via my phone to my router. I can only seem to access C4 controller via vpn when on Wi-Fi BUT not on 3G/4G. I can access other network resources on my home network via 3G/4G so I know the VPN via 3G/4G is working. Have C4 blocked this access type (via 3G/4G) in the new version of the OS? Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere - I did a quick search of the forum. wiley
Although the text of the error message is specific around 'System not found - We are unable to to find your system. This might be due to network configuration or you may not be connected on the same Wi-Fi network. Will give it a shot though.

wiley
All - update from my C4 Installer. Its official C4 have made it impossible to connect to your controller via VPN over mobile network. You can still do it via VPN over WI-FI.
Cyknight
Go ahead and complain - as per your other thread though - While C4 doesn't (and never has) provided support for doing this - they are not actively blocking it either.

jayace
My app will work when I VPN over WI-FI but not over mobile network. I'm on 2.7 and Android app 2.7.1.30 on a Oneplus One. My router is an ASUS RT-AC68U running firmware 3.0.4.4.378.4545.

AK1
Test your VPN over 3G / 4G by connecting and then install a free Ping utility in your phone tp ping the internal IP address of your controller - often in the form 192.168.1.x. Post the result. This will demonstrate network connectivity. I assume when you state it works over WiFi you mean it works when your away from home on "foreign" WiFi. msgreenf
You also want to make sure your VPN is full tunnel not split tunnel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes regarding working on non local WIFI (not at home). These are the results from the ping test to my controller ip when my VPN is enabled over 3g/4g and wifi turned off/ not connected. C4 app still gives me "System Not Found". I'm using a PPTP right now. How do I know if its full or split tunnel? jayace
I've tried using the stock VPN on Android and OpenVPN with the same results. Both will connect to my home network but the C4 app just wont connect unless it has a WIFI connection of some sort.

AK1
As msgreenf suggested, delete the App and reinstall it while on 3G/4G VPN. And if no joy, do same while on your local WiFi
