jillmark99
Purchased a used Pakedge NK-1 unit but the seller must have changed the factory IP address and I can’t access it. Can someone please tell me the factory reset procedure for it using the reset button? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks
Crustyloafer
Press the pinhole reset button on the back of the router. Hold down this button for 10 seconds while the router is powered on, and then release it. The router then resets to factory default settings. Default IP: 192.168.1.99 Username: pakedge Password: pakedger
jillmark99
Thank you for your reply. The unit I have is an NK-1 Network Management Device, not a router. I don’t believe the reset procedure is the same because I tried the 10 second hold and didn’t make any difference. Still can’t access it. Crustyloafer
Whoop sorry , I misread your post. Default IP should be 192.168.1.240. Have you tried a network scanning app to find out what IP it is currently set to?
Crustyloafer
I've checked through the full user guide for the NK-1 and there is no mention of using the reset button at all. I would perhaps try removing power from it and then reconnecting power whilst holding down the reset pinhole button and then keep it held down for 10 seconds or so. jillmark99
I don’t use 192.168 for my network so I can’t scan for it. i scanned the entire user guide as well and can’t find any mention of it either. Must be super top secret! LOL. I tried the 10second after power on as well but can’t hurt to try it again.
Crustyloafer
Any decent network scanner app will allow you to scan subnets other than what your local network is set to.

jillmark99
Scanned the recommended address above, all 65,000 of them and turned up 2 on the 192.168. Tried connecting to them and get nothing. Might have better luck with the reset button if someone knows the procedure.
Crustyloafer
Page 5 of the older manual references the reset button but no instructions. http://api.yatun.cz/docs/Y001796/dokumentace/02 PK-NK1-CP1 User Manual EN.pdf Have you tried just a quick 1 second press of it and see if there is any indication from front panel LEDs it is doing anything? jillmark99
I’m in. The person I bought it from remembered the IP address. I can now reset it through the dashboard and set my own IP. All good now! Thanks for everyone’s suggestions. I appreciate the assistance.

mstafford388
Hate to be that guy after all of this....but I wouldn't use the NK-1. They are not great at best. Just manage your WAPs individually.
lippavisual
And the NK1 literally does nothing but waste your time. It's not a WLAN controller. All it does is play middle man and pushes network settings out to the waps, that's it.
