shoaib
I recently got updated to OS 3.1.1. I don't see the Composer ME on customer.control4.com. Does anyone has any idea of what's the story with that? Guidance is appreciated. At the end of the day, I want to be able to stream my own collection of music to various rooms. What are you guys doing with your music collection? I bet no one is using the dock. Thanks. Shoaib
KWD
I'm a fan of using Roon, my music collection was to large for a EA-5.
msgreenf
Me no longer exists as of 3.1.
3D - Benn
You need Composer Home Edition to have that functionality now that you are running 3.1.1.
shoaib
Ty guys! So I gotta ditch 150 bucks for managing my collection...that sucks! KWD..I will check out roon...not familiar with it. TY all!
zaphod
IMHO Composer HE is well worth it. And if you alaready have a 4Sight sub then that reduces the net cost to $50 as you get a year's worth of 4sight. joecheech

KWD..I will check out roon...not familiar with it. TY all! I can sell you HE for $150 (or current MSRP) and includes 4sight for a year. You would be able to manage your music there but I highly recommend having a DLNA server set up and manage your collection outside of c4. E.g., iTunes. Depending on which server you have, music can be searched easily with the DLNA driver in c4. Twonky is one of them. zaphod
With Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc, what is the rationale for maintaining your own music files? I used to be fanatical about this and spent tons of time ripping CDs and perfecting the metadata, album art, but now I find it easier to just use Spotify. Quality is one argument but that is negated if you subscribe to Tidal. The only other thing I can think of is that you like music that isn't readily available on streaming services. shoaib
Good point! I am not an audiophile...but mostly it's for music not readily on Spotify. Its because the music is not English. Very valid point!
