mstellner
Good Morning, Recently, I noticed that my programmed Control4 lights turn on the entire home (switches are programmed thoughout the home) in the middle of the night without anyone pushing a button. Does anyone have any ideas what the cause may be? Thank you in advance for your help.

We had this happen when that was installed (even though we were home) and ended up removing it due to these bugs.
Neo1738
Yeah I've had issues with it not turning off when we come home. It stays in playback instead of recording mode.
mstellner
Thank you for response. No, no mockupancy setup. ...just weird..just keeps turning on all lights... could this be a defective switch somewhere in the house(i.e hardware only) or could the zigbi network be affected by others on same frequency? Neo1738
Zigbee very short range unless you are in an apt no chance. Likely faulty switch or some weird programming turning on a lighting scene.
RyanE
Even if Zigbee was not short range, devices only respond to messages to that specific device on the Zigbee mesh they've joined. Interference would not produce lights going on or off. RyanE
ejn1
can devices update automatically from time to time? eg firmware on a light switch?
RyanE
56 minutes ago, ejn1 said: can devices update automatically from time to time? eg firmware on a light switch? Only after a Control4 OS update. The firmware files are included in the OS update, and then roll out 2-3 devices at a time for the next several hours after the OS update. If you haven't done a Control4 OS update recently, it's not that. RyanE
South Africa C4 user
Maybe someone with access to your system is having fun at your expense? You say all lights turn on? That sounds like a programming issue somewhere or someone actually deliberately turning them all on.
