bbogus
I've been a C4 user (and former dealer) for almost 10 years. Upgraded to 3.0 about a year or so ago and the house was originally installed with the LiteTouch FiveK CCU panelized lighting. Had a recent storm come through and thanks to Savant, that no longer supports LiteTouch, it's time to replace the system. I know Vantage has a drop in replacement for the LiteTouch panels versus the different panels for C4 Lighting. Anyone have experience with Vantage integration with C4? I have no plans of pulling the rest of my C4 hardware. Either way, I know it'll be $$$ to swap out.

Unless you are looking to have a possible system agnostic from C4 I would just replace them with penalized modules. I have done this before with LiteTouch systems in the past and its really just some additional busy work.
chopedogg88
agreed. replace litetouch with Cotrol4 panel and modules. I've done several, and its pretty much a straight swap with a day or two worth of electrician time and reprogramming. PM me if you need assistance on this project, I may be able to offer remote programming support depending on timing. msgreenf
bbogus
Current concern is the availability of C4 panelized lighting. Seems the current chip shortage is hurting the availability of modules. But apparently Vantage is in stock. C4 worth the wait over Vantage lighting? I guess it depends how long…but yes, I would wait a few months to do it right.

I bought a home that had a Vantage panelized lighting system installed. Integrates easily using the Cinegration driver. You just need to know the VIDs of each Vantage load/button and it's a simple matter of mapping those across into C4 as you set up each keypad or load. You can also use Vantage keypad buttons to trigger other things within Control4 (like shades or scenes) but you lose the ability to do things like double or triple taps as you would with a C4 keypad. chopedogg88
And probably the ability to have keypad LEDs track the status of scenes and other things happening in control4? Music on/off, shade status, etc. OceanDad
georgetv
Any updates here? I am looking at an apartment with lite touch system. I have watched a few videos on how to replace. Lutron too much for me. Some say just install all the c4 switches at the panel where lite touch was and then a switch at the room location. Does this work? What about keypads for more than one device???? Thanks
chopedogg88
The easiest and best thing to do is swap the litetouch panels and keypads with Control4 panels/modules/keypads. It should be a straight 1:1 swap... I've done many of them. PM me if you want assistance.
