Viperman
Sorry was gone. We have Dell PowerConnect 2748 Gigabit Ethernet Switches. You can see the specs for them on Dells site.http://www.aaavoip.com/dell-powerconnect-2748.htmlI would probably let them go for like $375 each. I know I have one lying around in the box ready to go. The other would have to be replace with our Cisco units. Of course they all work, we are using them.
Kevin L
not to be rude but a brand new switch with a full warranty and improved specs is
Viperman
The specs are the same. the have the same throughput on the backplane, the smae port density, nothing has really changed.
thecodeman
Interestingly, the fabric capacity on the 2848 looks down from the 2748's, no?http://www.dell.com/us/en/business/networking/switch-powerconnect-2848/pd.aspx?refid=switch-powerconnect-2848&s=bsd&cs=04"Switch Fabric Capacity up to 96 Gbps"http://www.andovercg.com/datasheets/dell-powerconnect-2708.pdf"Switching capacity 144Gbps"

jdvet30
Depends on your budget. Cisco switches for small business have lots of options. This one has all 48 as POE and all 48 as gigabit. Retail $1,800 - $2,000http://www1.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps9967/ps9985/data_sheet_c78-502075.htmlI have seen several of their switches with a combination of POE and non POE ports as well. They have great chat support when you are considering their products. Very interactive over the web. They review your requirements and make recommendations.
hunger
I've had good luck with a NETGEAR GS748TP which has 48 PoE Gigabit ports plus 4 combo Gigabit copper/SFP slots and goes for $1,100 to $2,000.Here are the specs on the NETGEAR:http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2459Here are current U.S. retail prices:http://www.google.com/products?q=GS748TPMake sure you are running firmware 5.0.0.14 or later, as prior releases don't work with current browsers.
