  1. I assume someone doesn't want to pay for 4Sight... RyanE
  2. What product? A pre-Control4 NEEO? I don't know that you'll find anyone to help you load Control4 firmware on it. RyanE
  3. That is literally the reason I initially created the driver. That and because different manufacturers have different auto lock maximum times, and most of them are too short for me (60 seconds, usually). I want the lock to re-lock after 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity, and this driver resets the activity timer when the door is closed as well as not locking while open, so it's reliably '5 minutes after the door is last closed', or 5 minutes after the lock is unlocked (if the door was not opened). RyanE
  4. It is not the door relay driver, it's the door autolock driver. Door Auto-Lock (OS2.9+) It requires not only a lock, but also a door contact sensor. With those two things, it shows door and lock status on a single experience button, and allows you to lock/unlock the door with the experience button. It's main functionality is to implement longer auto locking, and only auto lock the deadbolt when the door is closed. You turn off the deadbolt's auto lock functionality, and use this driver instead. It's one of my favorites. RyanE Edited to add: It also has a command which enables/disables the auto locking, so you can turn it off for parties or repair people, etc. It's pretty handy.
  5. Yeah, I had to look at the Lua Debug output on an AV driver to figure out what they were... RyanE
  6. It may seem a bit confusing since they're not red and are hollow, but they're the <RECORD> and <STOP> buttons. RyanE
  7. How you go about doing that is up to you. I mean, you'd have to have a database of them somewhere, which you could access via HTTP, or you could have a way to enter them as properties, or something else. RyanE
  8. No, If there were a home status screen that came up before my room favorites, I'd be annoyed. Different strokes for different folks. RyanE
  9. Something along those lines, although you left out C4:, and would have to know the command and params for the SendToProxy call. RyanE
  10. I like the 'no home screen' myself. I want the app to start, and show my default room immediately. On my phone, though, my home screen has favorites that show me the status of the garage doors and locks. It's easy enough to do. RyanE
  11. I disgree with your assessment. There are releases that have fewer flashy features and releases that have more flashy features, with things still being done behind the scenes for future functionality. This is just one of the first kind. There are a ton of bugfixes and architectural changes that will bear fruit in the future. Control4 development and resources for development haven't appreciably from when Control4 was a separate company. RyanE
  12. You would likely have to use C4:SendToProxy commands to your IR binding, with the proper IR Code format. That way you could send any IR code, not just those declared in the <ircode> section of the XML. Unfortunately, that's not really documented anywhere in the API docs. RyanE
  13. You could probably do that with a Driverworks driver, where it can send arbitrary codes, but you can't do it with just a standard IR driver. RyanE
  14. We are demoing the Xfinity and AppleTV voice control on the show floor at CEDIA (switching from one immediately to the other, and vice-versa), and I've been impressed with how accurately it's working in such an awful environment. CEDIA is swamped with wifi, and loud, and both the Xfinity and AppleTV voice options are working very well. RyanE
  15. If they attend it in a few weeks, they'll not have much to report, being it's next week (Expo Show Floor open September 7-9)... RyanE
  16. Why are you asking a plumbing question in a Home Automation Forum, in response to a post about the electrical hook up of a garbage disposal? RyanE
  17. I appreciate those vocal for the voice control side, and realize that I've probably discounted it's general usefulness for control. I think if Josh were not 3rd party, I'd likely use it somewhat more than I've used Alexa, although it's set up. RyanE
  18. My keypads are set up with one button per floor, so I can easily see if any lights are left on, and turn them all off at once, which is quite a bit easier than finding each one and/or going to each one... But yeah, I agree, it's possibly not as convenient as voice in some situations. In my case, I'd rather press a button with a LED lit up on it than to issue a voice utterance at midnight or later when my wife and kids are probably asleep in the same or next room. RyanE
  19. I don't typically touch light switches at my house, without voice. They come on based on occupancy, and are shut off automatically, and/or with a single press on a keypad. I'm glad you have a solution you like. RyanE
  20. This is an opinion, as valid as those who don't like using voice. I'm personally in the "I don't talk to my house" camp. Neither is right, neither is wrong, as they're just opinions or anecdotes. The best thing is having the ability to do whatever you like best. RyanE
  21. Someone is always catching up with someone else. There will always be plenty of features Control4 still needs to implement / improve. RyanE
  22. Other than already known devices, I don't believe there is automatic import functionality. If you're not using those devices, you'll need to add devices by hand to your Control4 project, and set the details for data points used to communicate with those devices. RyanE
  23. It's continuing forward, and should be expected shortly. RyanE
  24. Unfortunately, outside of using the DS2 as a source for an NVR, you can't play video clips. While snapshots are available, video clips are not available in notifications or history. Sorry. RyanE
