RyanE got a reaction from RobbieF in Samsung Frame TV - IP Driver
Art Mode functionality was not implemented in the initial released version of the driver (which was for all 50ish models in Samsung's 2017 line, not just the Frame TVs).
Work for Art Mode is done, and the drivers are in testing.
Once they've finished testing them, they'll be released to Control4's online database.
The Art Mode support will include a new 'mini-app', which would need to be installed, called 'Art Mode', which allows you to start Art Mode from Control4 Navigators or programming, by selecting it as a source (like the Netflix, YouTube, etc. mini-apps).
The LS003 drivers will have a new property, called 'On Power Off', which can be set to 'Power Off', or 'Art Mode'.  When set to 'Power Off', it works as it currently does, when the driver gets a Room Off, it will power off.
When 'On Power Off' is set to 'Art Mode' and a Room Off is issued, the TV will switch to Art Mode.  If Room Off is issued while the TV is in Art Mode, it will power off the TV.
I apologize that this didn't make it into the initial driver release, but it should be released in the next couple of weeks.

*EVERY* video game console *EVER* made?
I don't think so.  You don't even have VirtualBoy, or Apple's failed Pippen.
Not that it matters, but that's a pretty bold claim.

One of the previous "competition" to Control4 had touchscreens with built-in dimmers that fit in a light switch box.
I always thought it a bad idea to have a touchscreen at waist-high level.  Pretty much unusable unless you were a hobbit.

That's correct.  I don't have paging to all bedrooms.
My house isn't so big that just yelling from the top/bottom of the stairs doesn't work.

That said, I have some touchpanels waiting to be installed in the kids' rooms when I get a bit of time.

My 'always used' touchscreen is the one in the Kitchen, which is also fairly central to the family room.  Mostly used to select music for the kitchen / family room areas, or to use lighting scenes to turn on/off yard lights or whole house lights.  Faster than starting up the app on my phone, easier than finding a SR-260 in the remote or family room.
Bedrooms typically use the SR-260, even in the master bedroom, because typically when we want to control something in there (lights, fan, TV), we're in bed, and don't want to get up to use the wall-mounted touchscreen.

RyanE got a reaction from msgreenf in An SR260 with built in IR blaster
My remotes are nowhere near any of my devices, and haven't been used literally in *years*.
I've had massive Network failures before (including my main network switch catastrophically failing while I was at CEDIA, as it turns out...), and having the 'original remotes' handy would *only* have helped *me*.  i.e. even with the original remotes, my wife couldn't get the TV on the right input, the AVR setup properly, and control the device without my walking her through it step by step, and that's *much less* confusing than having a *very infrequently used* set of steps to get an SR-260 to spit out the equivalent IR for 3 devices in the same situation.
And to answer your question, yes, most Control4 customers do expect their dealers to come "sort things out" when they're not working, usually after having that same dealer spec out the equipment, which usually means things they've used and they know don't have those sorts of issues...

The SR250 and SR260 remotes *have never* had IR hardware built in.
The Gen1 remotes had layout on the board for IR, as I understand, but it was never populated, since as others have mentioned, it's not a reliable control solution.

Composer Programming Delays are not implemented poorly.
They do not cause Director to stop doing what it's doing for X seconds, and shouldn't cause any system latency.
From what I've seen, they are implemented internally very similar to timers.
The main reason you might want to use timers instead of delays is that they're more flexible.  When you use a delay in a script, it will delay running the rest of the script, and if that script gets triggered multiple times, delays can cause things to work differently than you might expect, where if you'd used a timer, it's more straightforward (i.e. the 'rest of the story' would only get executed once, when the timer expires).

Control4 has already determined the licensing requirements for Pro.
Sadly, that requirement is currently that you become a Control4 dealer.
