  1. Hi,  I'm new to this forum.  I reviewed one of Cyknight's recent responses regarding Rhapsody/Napster only working on version 2.8.2 or higher.  Our Rhapsody doesn't work well at all - doesn't play stations, only plays first song of album then nothing, etc..  Cyknight indicated that our "dealer" had to update our system.  We have a HC800 controller and have version 2.8.0512161.  If by dealer you are referring to where we purchased our system - namely Best Buy - then that would mean that we would have to pay them to come out every time we need an update.  This doesn't make any sense.  For one, Control 4 doesn't inform us when they are doing updates and for two, we should not be at the mercy of having to pay Best Buy to come out to update our system.  Please confirm how to fix our Rhapsody/Napster without incurring any additional costs.  Thx.

Simply put - yes you need a dealer to update. That doesn't have to be the same dealer that did the install, and can be done by a dealer remotely (ie one of the guys that offer it on these forums). But yes, it has to be a dealer.

Regardless of what your thoughts on the dealer requirement is - and I've no intend to argue either view or the reasoning behind them - that is how it is.
