  1. Hi Alan Is there any specific reason why "suspend" isn't included as a specific command but "hibernate" which is kind of unusual as most PC do suspend as S3 mode.
  2. I also have an older Roomba 580 but for my place I am looking for something a little more efficient and on top the roomba is pretty beaten uo over the years - hence my quest for a new one and the neato navigation was superior over roombas for years now. Do you think the new roomba navigates better than the neato? I kinda doubt it but I haven't seen any review comparing those to new guys yet. I also wonder how roombas camera can navigate in the dark. I will keep my eyes open for a connected a it is not in stock ATM. @firemedic I also think the amount of sales through C4 would be minimal, it is more a gadget/marketing thing "hey look W What we can do!" - it makes the Connected "more Connected" :-)
  3. That's for sure. But usually drivers are sold to more than one person. So for me paying 750$ and then others getting it for let's say 100$ later on is a little out of proportion from my point of view.Although I have no problem with a driver being for free afterwards when I am part of a group that donates the money to get the device for development. Since the neato has the more sophisticated navigation compared to the brand new roomba navigation I would vote for the neato. @C4RVA If Neato's API isn't online maybe they will provide the bot once they see the full picture!? I am not sure if an app in c4 is needed. Basically we need: Start /stop cycle Return home Pick schedules Those could be done via custom buttons Variables for bot status: Status status of cycle/ remaining time Battery state Time of last run Error state - if it gets stranded Could be visualized via notifications or email. However a customizable GUI I.e. HTML5 would be awesome for jobs like this.
  4. If I'd buy you a bot that would be an immensely expensive driver for me :-) - however if we find a couple more people to collect 750$ I am surely in for it :-)
  5. Ok Dyson is out since it isn't really for sale yet...or maybe ever !? That leaves the BotVac connected and most importantly a person developing a driver - anyone thinking it might be worht it and think about giving it shot?
  6. The other option would be the Dyson 360.
  7. That looks very nice! Haven't seen the connect series yet! Hopefully someone writes a driver for those!
  8. Hi! Has anyone ever integrated a Neato BotVac into a Control4 system? Is there a driver? thx
  9. Yea that was the hope that came with knowing it runs android -> Access to Apps! Yeah..useful apps like Out of Milk etc....up to now BUMMER :-(! Thats why I did not buy T3s for now...
  10. Hi Alan Support for the new SR260 would be great (custom buttons and new buttons) for both, the "old Kodi lite" and the "new Kodi full" driver.
  11. Hi I am now using Linux instead of Windows with Kodi v15.0 and noticed that I there is some serious lag when coming from resume. If my HTPC resumes I cannot control Kodi for almost 60s via Conrol4 - anyone else noticing this? HTPC has a static IP.
  12. Ha! Finally my import works somewhat - just the cover art is missing. Kinda strange because both HTPC and HC250 are online though. Can I re-try to import my cover art?
  13. Hi Just an Info others should know in case they need it: If you want to delete stuff, i.e. recordings there is no direct mapping of a button to delete an item. It can be done via "context_menu".
  14. Windows is stable with good hardware. I also used Linux a lot, and given good hardware from Windows 7 on there is no real difference if the Software in use is of decent quality (shitty program code can crash pretty much every OS). For HTPC in general, the less codecs installed the more stable the setup will be. Also avoid notifications, or programs to pop up as they will steal focus on the app which might lead to issues. I usually reboot ever 14d because I am not using ECC memory. Longest time I had my system run was 20d with no issues (rebooted windows updates). I do not have A/V sync problems when I adapt refresh rate to match video fps (I do not use passthrough any more, I use WASAPI output). However I use a HDMI Doctor to avoid HDMI sync issues (no audio after standby etc - I just got sick of the workarounds) just my 2c
  15. Hi 1) The button "prev" is mapped to "Backspace" and "cancel" is mapped to "ESC" between C4 and Kodi. Obviously you really need the one and the other to either jump one level up or sometimes reach a sub-menu in Kodi - every other Mediacenter software I have tried, and that were pretty much all available, the was only one button for "back". In Kodi the one that is mostly needed is "prev" because that jumps only one level back while navigating in submenus. Therefore it would be great to see the option of changing the button mapped to "prev" and "cancel" 2) When playing a video file when I press "left" on my keyboard the movie seeks back 30s. When I press "left" on the C4 remote nothing happens !? - any idea why? regards
  16. @alanchow Hi I have been testing the driver a little bit today. It works pretty well, installation time remotly less than 30min if customer has all the necessary data and does prepare Kodi by itself (which is easy thx to the installation instruction above) The driver works flawlessly and leaves a very good overall impression. Here is some feedback after testing the new driver a little bit: The mapping of custom buttons incl. * and # is possible with HE version, the driver menu is visible. - perfect! 1) One major function is missing which needs to be available for assignment in custom buttons: Aspect ratio / Zoom - keyboard shortcut is "z" – there are still many movies, esp. old ones where detection od aspect ratio is just wrong. 2) The Guide and DVR button are mapped to "Channel list" (PVR_MENU) under Live TV at Kodi. None of the buttons or available functions lead to the real programm guide the "epg" - keybaord shortcut "e" 3) When doing a search (movie or anything else) the virtual keyboards pops up on the screen. However I am missing the ability to use the number buttons to type like SMS/T9 – is that possible? 4) Direct links to (Jump_To_): “recordings”, Live TV 5) In Live TV, when watching a channel and no OSD is shown, the “select” button on SR250 does nothing. Do you think it is possible to bind that to PVR_MENU ? (that is what 99% of satellite receivers show when pressing “ok”). In the driver it is visible what your are currently watching so the driver should be aware of the section you are in (live tv, movies etc…). So maybe it can be set to PVR_MENU via “if current source is live TV then button select -> PVR MENU else enter” – just some random idea that popped up in my mind
  17. Hi thx for the answers. Price range seems ok for me. Testing period of 2d is quite short for such a complex setup, 1w or 2w are much better suited - just my opinion, maybe you devs consider it.
  18. Ok the dealer to install that thing is just fine. I just don't want to call my dealer every time I change the"#" button to something else until I definitively know how I like it.
  19. That was quick thx. I assume to assign commands to a colored button I do not need a dealer, but for DVR * and # I do need my dealer - correct?
  20. Hi This looks in fact very interesting so that I may ditch my Mediaportal setup with IR control. Just a couple of Questions: 1) Can the driver pull metadata to C4 if KODI is using XBMB3C as media source? 2a) What kind of buttons can be assigned to Kodi commands - all buttons on SR250, or just "a couple"? 2b) Do I need Composer Pro and therefore a dealer to changes commands for specific buttons or can that be done via Composer HE ? 3) Is TV / PVR integration complete? (i.e. manage recordings, changing channel lists, easy bring up channel list while viewing to avoid goping into EPG all the time) 4) what is the msrp recommendation to dealers for the pricing to customers? (or a price range just to know what we are talking about here) 5) What will the Pro version most likely offer? thx for response
