Since the ea series just updated to v2 versions I would guess another 1 to 2 years for a replacement of the whole lineup. However nothing keeps Control from expanding the ea series to ea5-4k versions for extra $$$ Gesendet von meinem LYA-L29 mit Tapatalk

Just because :-) Another reason is that if cams or intercom can be presented as 4k the GUI would need to switch resolution from keys day 1080p to 4k - if all is 4k it's smoother and 1080p intercom could just be upscaled

This doesn't mean that they have to be removed from the project. Usually if components can't be upgraded to the new major release they will stay on the old OS and will still work - I.e. connected IR buds and audio out will continue to work

Why? They didn't do a good job with the HouseLogix takeover from the perspective of Control4 owners with drivers from HL. It can go either way with such takeovers, from improvements to discontinuation of products and brands.. One thing I was not aware of is that SnapAV is bug enough to pay 600m in cash.

I doubt that. If you look at the remote picture its like 1000 times nicer looking."All" C4 needs is add ZigBee and its own GUI in they have a much nicer looking remote. And I am sure there is more than just the remote for Control4 to get out of NEO

It's missing quite a few things, just some that pop into my head at the moment: - Missing proxies/views/drivers for Home appliances - dish watcher, fridge etc.. - so real integration with status feedback and so on scheduler warnings etc. - customizable views for media data within navigators, I.e. artist vs album-artists - or similar stuff - more flexible GUI with custom icons or web pages for least for visual presentation of liquid levels, floor maps with windows locations, list view that shows open windows etc... - actually HTML5 would be perfect for that, but I doubt that will happen

You do know that I am not going to reveal the name, that is something you don't do. For one I wasn't the 1st posting this and it is not my intent to spread any malcontent- check my posts I haven't done it in the past and I don't intend it to do now.
